Just got home after the football -away to Bala and then home to the pub -glad my antennae was working

Unlucky with your horse stick and Don -sounds like he didn't get a cut at the green-i suppose in a race like that there is one good luck story and twenty odd bad ones .......

Going to Newmarket tomorrow so please provide me with all the winners. If anyone living near the A1 (south of Ripon) fancies a trip down I'd be happy to take them. But I do mean near and it will be an early start. And I'll be leaving before the last.

Have a great day, Bustino, with a winner or three! When we lived in Norfolk, wife and I used to go to Newmarket occasionally, but always found winner-finding difficult there; Yarmouth was easier!
You'll be please to hear that I am not trying to give you a winner, not on my current form, that would be discourteous. However, for my Saturday punt will have a little e/w on Very Talented in the Cambridgeshire cavalry charge (18/1 best with Corals atm).

Very best of luck with Squire today lads, hope he belies the absence from the track and, as always most importantly, comes back safe and sound.

I can imagine the old keypad at Chuckle Towers is thoroughly aglow as Sir Barney hammers away at a write up on the 4.40 at Worcester. We have former Mr. Henderson inmate Newsworthy making his debut for Tom Symonds (but we all know horses rarely improve for leaving Seven Barrows). Also the 11th richest man in Wales has a runner, as does the forum's favourite resident of Wiltshire and patronage of Barbury Castle (which is up for sale BTW - perhaps the new Chuckles abode?) Mr. King. As if that wasn't enough, the lovely Dan Skelton has one in there, ridden by the equally lovely Harry. The race should be renamed "The Chuckles With a Capital C Novices', I say Novices', Hurdle".

Strange heat in the end that 4.40 as all those mentioned were readily brushed aside by the Vaughan runner. Re yesterday’s racing Journey did it effortlessly and she must be a major player, if she turns up, to take ‘Group 1’ honours on ‘British Champions Day’. Fair Eva again didn’t oblige but I still can’t think of a more likely winner of the ‘1,000 Guineas’. Meanwhile, Weld Arab although 5th was still on the premises and only beaten 4 lengths. He’ll have his day soon, methinks. Especially if the handicapper drops him a couple of pound following this effort.

Yep, the Barbary Castle Estate is up for sale. Have checked in the old vault and I won’t be able to make an offer on this occasion which is disappointing. This is actually the 2nd time since Alan King has been the tenant that its set to be sold but the sale last time didn't effect his position as old boy Nigel Bunter, who purchased the gaff, said, ‘You carry on Kingy, me old love. What, what!’. He’ll be hoping for similar words this time around as well from the new purchaser. Still must be worrying times for Alan King though.
