No luck on Thursday so managed to get on all of De Sousa's rides on Friday in doubles with Serena Williams losing to Karin Knapp on Thursday night (9-1) as convinced Serena has no interest in winning this warm up tournament as she prepares for her Serena Grand Slam bid next week at the US Open.
Killarney 7.00 Millstream Ned win 5/1.Only bet tomo is on this lad after winning over c&d last month, decent claimer on board and should go very close.York looks a tough card so happy to watch it play out.

Got a really really big fancy for TooCoolForSchool in the 3 05 @ 28/1, think it's a ridiculous price and like Caspian Prince on Monday if he gets even half of his old form back he'll win this, maybe it just hasn't trained on but won the Mill Reef as a 2 year old, hasn't figured in 2 runs this season but they were tough races, dropped down to listed company now, and noticeably also has an entry for the group 2 park stakes @ doncaster in September so is still highly thought of and could make a mockery of this price, loves soft ground, jockey has a 100% strike rate for K Burke too. As i said, the case may be it just hasn't trained on but I'm prepared to give it one more shot
Doyle also has some really good rides today, might be worth an e/w lucky 31 1 55 Memorial Day 7/1 2 30 Hidden Gold 16/1 3 05 Glory Awaits 20/1 3 40 Profitable 25/1 4 20 Very Talented 5/1 4 20 looks tough, K Ryan still in great form and Weekend Offender looks a nice horse, shame Spencer's on board. Smullen/Weld also combine for one. In the 4:55 Hathal is the best horse in the race on form yet is 14/1, having a decent e/w, Master of irony and the other haggas one could be very progressive though, Hathal might not like the ground but Moonlightnavigator will love it and at 33/1 is a huge price
One to note on the pedigree front: BEAUTIFUL MORNING in the 4.20 at York. She's the first foal out of the only living offspring by George Washington and came with a hefty price tag of 650,000gns as a yearling. Green on her debut, she's expected to fair better today and holds entries in the Rockfel and Fillies Mile.
Acapulco was rated 116 for her Queen Mary demolition, of which the form has been upheld. Therefore with 27lb of weight received the winner if they are to beat Acapulco will in theory have to run to 143. Obviously she is getting 27bl for a reason due to weight for age but it is still one hell of an advantage
Nice one Princess, have had a little e/w poke on this plus put it in an e/w Lucky 15 at York: 1.55 Kings Bayonet 3.05 Glory Awaits 4.20 Beautiful Morning 4.55 Father Bertie Finally a win double on Big Orange and Acapulco. Best of luck everyone
Im with Boris, i like Pearl Castle in the first. 4th off 1 lb higher last year, has course form and is a cracking shout at a big price.
If ACAPULCO doesn’t win today then I’ll run starkers down my local High Street. As CityHull has stated, most eloquently, to beat her, off that impost, her rivals will have to be superstars. And they jolly well, and I do mean jolly well, ain’t.
Good news for Clondaw Warrior punters as Quest For More was withdrawn from both his York engagements because of the ground so they will get a run in the Ebor. A degree in Rocket Science is not required to conclude that what is required at York this week on ‘dead’ ground is a horse that can be kept close to the pace and produced inside the distance. Horses held up at the rear have not featured at all in most of the finishes. Why are Sky Bet sponsoring the opening 20-runner handicap? They will get quite a bit of their money back from punters, I expect. In the Lonsdale Cup (2:30), I am immediately going to eliminate the horses that are held up and there seems to be no reason to believe that any of three beaten by BIG ORANGE at Goodwood will reverse the placings on the same terms. Clever Cookie was well behind in the King George but now steps back up in distance and, if they can change tactics and sit closer to the pace, is not without a chance. Whilst the City Of York Stakes (3:05) has a numerically large field, it is not especially competitive. This race has a poor record for three year olds but it may come too soon for Heaven’s Guest, fifth in the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes last weekend. In the big race, I cannot fancy Sole Power because of the race tactics but Mecca’s Angel has her ground if she can concede the weight to the favourite, whilst it is arguably against Muthmir. Acapulco won on fast ground at Royal Ascot but gets a huge weight concession in the Nunthorpe Stakes (3:40). Her jockey may not get a great reception after the travesty at Arlington last week but if she handles the ground she should be good enough to win.
I hope win or lose that Acapulco's jockey receives the reception deserved after his antics in getting the Beckett horse demoted at the weekend. In my eyes his actions were akin to diving for a penalty in an FA cup final or getting an opponent sent off through play acting. I would like to think he will have no friends in the weighing room today and that a chorus of boos will welcome the low life.
There are some other impressive pedigrees on display in the 4.20 at York: Constantino - half-brother to G1 winner AMAZING MARIA Manson - half-brother to G1 winner JACK HOBBS Click and Roll - half-sister to G1 winner HOOTENANNY It's not surprising the quality of the line up given that this is the most valuable two year old maiden in the UK at a whopping £50,000 with £31,000 of that to the winner. It'll be a very interesting race.
