Volenti goes in the 10f handicap at Newcastle today and is upped in distance. Will his incredible run continue? Bought midsummer, for the price of a good night out, he's won 4 and been placed 4 for his enthusiastic owners and so the training bills are already paid. He ran over 10f on his 2nd and 3rd starts for his new owners and trainer and didn't give the impression he didn't stay. I just hope my rendering and plastering bills come down.

Only managed 4th. Too far off the pace but difficult for the jockey as he was a bit keen early on. Ran on in the straight but had lost chance: probably better at 7-9f.
