    Morning, members. Hope everyone well.

Most interesting runner, today, with a view to the old Cheltenham Festival has to be Lieutenant Henderson's Another Venture (1.55 Bangor). If the 11YO son of Stowaway finishes either 1st or 2nd today then he will qualify for the Hunter Chase at the big meeting. You can currently, incidentally, get 40/1 re him and the Cheltenham Festival Hunter Chase.

If he does get in that will mean the forum's favourite trainer won't be able to enjoy a post CGC GnT (congratulatory or commiseratory) as instead he will have to saddle Another Venture for the Hunter Chase! Still he's devoted to his profession so it's a sacrifice the great man will be only too happy to adhere to.

Incidentally Another Venture didn't cost, comparatively, a huge amount of money when connections bought him out of Kim Bailey's yard last Spring - £20,000. Although, cor blimey, to use a football analogy that 'transfer' must have been akin to a player moving from Chippenham Town to The Arsenal.

Anyway, enough waffling from me. Good luck all.

Surprised that Chucklevision didnt do a feature on the Henderson bumper horse that runs in the last at Kempton. It arrives for debut in a race that Nicky The Needle has very decent record in. That said, having been gambled since shows opened, it is trading at a very low best price of 11/10 and that combined with a pedigree that is more stamina than speed makes me think there is some value elsewhere.
The Hendo flyer is out of a prolific winning point to point dam and his full brother has to date shown his best form at 3.5 miles.
Another animal that is fairly low in the betting is the Emma Lavelle trained Kings Threshold. The yard are 2/2 at the track in bumpers in the last five years but again it is a pedigree that is more stamina than speed. Debut run on heavy ground suggested that todays trip and going will not suit.
The one I have backed and has a pedigree that I like is THE SCORPION KING (28/1). The dam won the listed bumper at the Aintree Festival no less and while the sire isnt everybodys cup of tea he does show a decent enough return in bumpers (19%). The really big factor for supporting him from my perspective is the booking of Gavin Sheehan who in my opinion is probably the best jumps jockey when it comes to riding in these races.

When eight horses were going to run I was going to bet Tel'Art 16/1 e/w, but when there were seven left (how strange) I gave it up, maybe I regret it but I no longer see any value there because now he has moved to second favourite at 11/2- 9/2. The jockey is the same as Highway Jewel.

I know I didn’t put it in my post but I took 26/1 five places when he was 33s last night. I have The Don to thank for alerting me that 365 are now laying extra places the night before.

Still made me a small profit for the day. Now fairly well ahead for this month on my very very modest stakes. Cheers again <ok>
Many more of your tips, and I might have to buy you a pint next time you're over here <laugh>
