    From the BBC gossip column.

Basically, now that Camolli has gone, Kuyt and Maxi could stay at Liverpool. I really hope this is true.

Did Camolli really have this much influence?

true but he's the one that wined & dined and shmoozed his way into getting us Suarez, can't see KK doing that kind of stuff and at the moment just the name "Liverpool" isn't enough to drag players in, gotta be some crafty negotiation/persuasion too, this is why we need another DoF before the summer!

Before the start of this season, I wouldn't have been that bothered to see Maxi and Kuyt go.

But now I realise their importance as they bring intelligence, experience and have the understanding of what it is like playing for a big club.

I don't think we can afford to let these two leave just yet, especially as players like Downing, Henderson, Carroll and Adam are still bedding in and coming to terms with what it is like playing for a big club.

I would only be happy to see them go if we bring in proven quality to replace them. Not a youngster who has potential, but someone like Luis Suarez who has the talent, proven on big stages and gained valuable experience and who is in his early-mid 20's.

I think they have been good servants but I would move them both on, kuyt has no pace, can't beat the first man and poor first touch. Maxi goes missing. I'd rather get Johnson from man city and Moses from Wigan

According to Suarez, it was Dalglish who convinced him to join Liverpool. He stated in an interview just after signing that "Hearing Kenny speak to me in Spanish convinced me where I would be most appreciated!" So maybe Commoli didn't do as much wining and dining as people have been led to believe - Seems to me he waved the chque book as his way of convincing players to sign!

Kuyt and Maxi have offered good depth and tbh Maxi is the only player at the moment which I feel has goals in him! If we got rid of these two we would be looking to replace them with a World class striker (we need one anyways) and an all rounder who can offer a similar work rate to Kuyt.

simply put; i would be disgusted if these two stay while others buy up the good, young, pacey attackig players that are out there.

maxi is a waste of sapce cos 3 to 4 games in 3 months even if he knocks a couple in is no good to us. not when points are leaking down the pan all the time while he's not contributing. kuyt is the same, gone are the days of energiser bunny displays and now he's not effective in many ways.

If we play over the hill players we will just go down the pan. bob paisley said the art of managament was allowing players to age on someone else's pitch. time to move them on!
