‘I am getting really worried for Villas-Boas, though. I said on Saturday that they’ve gone down to fourth, and if they finish there, he’ll probably get the sack, because Harry did. Harry finished fourth, and in any other season he would have been in the Champions’ League.'

    Source? Yep Daily ****offail

He's just a bit emotional, isn't he? Like a little kid having a tantrum who says things they know aren't true just to show how angry and upset they are. Maybe it was after watching THAT rant live on TV but I sort of hear everything he says as if he's on the brink of tears. I think I used to think that of him before THAT rant.

Sorry - this is now seeming like a really pointless post. Keegan. The Mail. They just make you come over all "what's the point?", don't they?

Isn't there a football match on soon?

If AVB gets 4th or even 5th/ 6th he won't get sacked. Though 5th/ 6th will be seen as a failure and disappointment in my opinion, unless he wins Europa.

Keegan's just talking out his arse, **** managers always give **** views.

AVB won't get sacked, no chance. He's here to build the foundations of something going forward and could be here for a long time if he gets things right. (but he might need some help My levy. hint hint...)

Apparently he's getting a contract extension.

If he gets sacked, well.... I don't know what I'll do.

If that's the best the Mail can come up with then we must be ok.

He'll get the sack from Spurs but be snapped up by Real Madrid, yeah that makes sense! <doh>

Well for a start we were still 3rd on Saturday not only is his opinion worthless but he's lying too.

Great player but clearly a clueless twat off the field.

Redknapp was sacked cos he refused a new contract after he was cleared in his court case after the club fully supported him. He then tarted himself for the england job, ****ed up at spurs, claimed that the players didnt care less about the speculation regarding him as the manager and ****ed around with our formation to show how clever he was.
Then when england didnt go for him he demanded a new contract and claimed that his lack of a contract offer was badly affecting the players (even though the season had ended and pre season training hadnt started). He did that on live tv during the euros while levy was in th usa for his mothrs funeral.
But I guess its easier to claim he was sacked for coming 4th so AVB is in deep **** rather than to sxplain the facts.

Only the Daily Mail would publish this blokes opinion, that died they day Fergie screwed him up. He has ran from every job when it got tough, AVB is doing a great job especially facing what was said about him at Chelsea, takes a man to jump back into the ring with our media sharks, as for Mancini yeh he has had a poor season but doubt he is under that much pressure if it continues nxt year then yes he could be for the chop!

Heard him say it on Saturdays ESPN. He also said getting 4th would mean not qualifying for the CL.

I forgot how much I wanted to punch Keegan in the face when he was Newcastle manager...until this.

FFS, what a load of tosh.

If we sack AVB i'll have to seriously contemplate whether i want to bother with football any more. We've gotta stick with a manager sooner or later, its been proven a number of times its the way to go (short of changing manager every 2 weeks and throwing money at transfers). AVB is young, doing a good job, isn't whoring himself out for other jobs and isn't saying anything to the media that pisses fans/management off.
    Keep.

Keenan having a tantrum? Well, I never. There's something new! He's talking out of his arse ( again) Absolutely no way will Levy sack AVB at the end of the season. Firstly, he hasn't done that bad, IMO. Some of he selections he's made, and some of the tactics in certain games, have made us wonder. But he's still learning.
Secondly, apart from the financial side of sacking him, Levy would have to go too, IMO. As far as I know, he was AVB's main advocate & therefore has a lot of his own credibility tied up in the situation.

I met Keegan at a function when he was manager of Newcastle the first time. At this function, there were many women and children, yet this did not stop him using the 'f' word in every sentence. He came across as a pompous foul mouthed prat.

I'm suprised as my expereince of Keegan, was a good one, he was playing At Sutton ,in a charity match,Sutton v Football managers,he was one and there was Glen, Pardew Venable's and some i can't remember. Keegan missed a sitter so he took his shirt off Swapped it with a Ballboy, and sent the ballboy on the pitch in his place. While the Managers team combined to left the ball boy score,Keegan done his job and stood talking to Supporters

He's never been the same since he lost that shaggy perm and stopped using Brut.

    Love it.

Kevin Keegan and Alan Sugar think Villas-Boas should be sacked.

If there's a better way to guarantee a job for life, I'd like to hear it.

He probably doesn't like the fact that AVB gives a better interview in his second, or possibly third language than he ever did.

Good point. I'm wondering if AVB speaks Spanish as a second language?

Of course a lot of our team are speaking English as a second language too, and the fact that you can understand them says quite a lot against the typical image of a thick footballer. Mind you I think we can put together a keeper/defence that would only need to speak French!
