From today's Archant Towers - Goalkeeper Mark Bunn and midfielders Alexander Tettey and Jacob Butterfield are all poised for their first starts for the club and Hughton indicated Tottenham loanee Harry Kane will also get a prominent role against the League One outfit. Looking forward to seeing them in action!!

Also, Pilks and Bassong could be fit for th eLiverpol game.

Could to hear. <ok> Great place for the new guys and players on the fringe of the first team (Tierney, Lappin) to show what they can do.

not sure if anything has been confirmed but i understand that josh murphy might play. he's been excellent so far for the u21s. looking forward to seeing butterfield in particular and also tettey, see what the big norwegian can do <ok>

Think it's first-team squad so that could mean sitting on the bench for the full 90 minutes or coming on with 2 minutes to go, equally it could also mean he may start.

What about twin brother Jacob? Do you know much about him?

yeah, he's promising too dave. i think he scored the other day, but josh has been a stand-out so far so he was the obvious one to make the step up, if indeed he does. josh tends to play on the left and cut inside, a bit like snoddy does on the right, so will be interesting to see how he gets on if he gets a chance. i think both jacob and also jamar loza may be on the verge of a call up too; he netted a hattrick earlier in the season.

Josh Murphy came on against MK Dons as well in pre season, he looked pretty exciting player. Bags of pace and looks really confident, he nearly carved out a half chance for someone (can't remember who) in the 10 minutes he played, and just didn't let right back settle on the ball aswell.

It will be great to get a look at Butterfield, Bunn, Kane and Tettey but Josh Murphy is really intriguing. He's only 17, but CH must have seen something he liked when he watched the development team last Friday when Josh scored the only goal.

We need Butterfield playing. How much is it to have his name on the shirt? The club could make a fortune. I wish Butterworth, Culverhouse, Linighan and Woodthorpe were still playing. We would be mega rich!

Hope some of the fresh faces give some of the established first team players a run for their money and if they play well tonight are given a chance on saturday as we need something different to end this goal drought we've been suffering in the premier league. Perhaps if 1 or 2 players suddenly found themselves dropped from the team they'd take their chances more often and fight for the shirt. It's all well creating the chances but you need to take them and make them count aswell

the downside of utilising the squad is you find players haven't played together before / recently, which reduces the effectiveness and cohesiveness of the team. whereas donny will be well up for it as they will have little to lose, probably will play a full strength team. Hopefully CH can get the balance right - a strong bench will help (if you look at Everton last night that didn't help them with the changes they made at half time, it's a gamble allright).
I'd like to see Harry Kane and Simeon Jackson up front at the start - Kane to see what he has got, and jackson as he has been playing well this season
