The 27-year-old forward only joined the Billy Goats in the summer, but has already attracted attention from English sides, according to SportBild. Though Koln signed Modeste on a four-year deal, it is believed the huge increase in Premier League TV money could tempt the club to cash in. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...tory-28942648-detail/story.html#ixzz43A0mTgPU He's scored 11 in 24 so far this season.
Well some of our recent signings have been very MODEST to say the lease. So one more wont make much difference.
If he's been recommended by the same agent who represented Sagbo, Prossie or Dio that absolutely NO THANKS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!
His agent is Mark McKay, he's recently got a couple of his other clients moves to England, Dimitri Payet to West Ham and Andre Ayew to Swansea.
Are we definitely writing Dio off now? Is that it, after a handful of substitute appearances and a couple of cup appearances against one of the best teams in the country? Just, you know, so I can update my records.
Hardly a like for like comparison with Payet costing from memory £11-12m, and Ayew supposedly valued around the same albeit he joined Swansea for a small fee given his contact was up. Modeste according to the article has 3 years left on his contract so I suspect won't be cheap. Good to know that McKay gets some right!
No I'm not writing Dio off, but to date have seen nothing remotely representing a striker worth £1.7m. Hope I'm wrong in due course!
I'm calling out this trendy, Sagbo was a bag of ****e attitude that everyone seems to have. Nowt special, but he did a solid job in a city squad that comfortably survived in the premier league and scored vital goals in our run to the cup final. What more could you ask for from a striker costing £1.2 million, or whatever it was. Infact, we could really do with someone like him in our squad right now. We'd comfortably be top two.
Good to know I've been trendy regarding Sagbo. As you said yourself 'nowt special' £1.2M down the tubes! Just a personal opinion.
