I think with us already having a very big British/Irish core to the team we can afford to have a summer of recruiting overseas players. I still wouldnt rule out British players or foreign players already in the PL though as with all the big spending Man City/Chelsea/Spurs/Arsenal look set to do there will no doubt be a few players deemed surplus (Milner/Bertrand/Rose/Sigurrdson/Defoe/Sinclair/Lescott etc). I like the look of that guy though to get things going from the back.
It's strange being a Sunderland fan at the moment - a very small percentage of us have seen any of the players we're linked with play (and I have seen nothing of any of them so far!) - I'm quite excited but trying to stay grounded
