Lee Shau Kee:- He is the fifth richest person in Asia with $18.5 billion dollar. He is also the second wealthiest person in Hong Kong and greater China Region, Just after Li Ka Shing. He was bornon 29th January, 1928 in Chin. Since 2006, Lee has accrued extra profits from his holdings of mainland-controlled stocks. This return on investment has earned him nicknames including. Hong Kongâs buffet and âAsiaâs Master of stockâ. Surely he can afford his own ticket? This guy is big mates with our very own VT and is the "mystery guest" that has been seen at CCS several times, and was at the Centenary Dinner. Business pressures pernitting, DC, VT and this guy are planning a "lads trip" to Seville for the City tour.................just a jolly for VT's mate, or a future investor? VT didn't get to be rich without keeping one eye on the main chance, and he seems to be working hard to sel CCFC to this guy..............it coud be for other business stuff, but we can live in hope
I have heard him linked to the club from a friend in Malaysia. Lee is not a "big" football fan apparently, but has made some encouraging noises about buying a small percentage of shares in the club. Once on board who knows!
At the moment I am more than happy with TG and VT (and the Sultan who came to the QPR game if he wants in). Too many seriously rich men doesn't always work the way we might wish because they are all used to being the boss and all lose interest in a new toy quickly, specially when it might be 8,000 miles away. QPR is a perfect case in point.
When the article was published about Tan, TG, PMG, etc converting their outstanding loans into shares, they quoted a (very big) number of shares issued. A large chunck of these were to be held for future issue. Were they planning ahead? If giving their mate a few freebies is the worm wriggling on the hook, I'm quite happy for them to do a little fishing Proph.
Who's to say that any expenses are being saddled on the club accounts? Even if it is, the amount they have invested to ensure wages and debts were paid means that they have paid in far more than they may have 'put through on expenses', so to speak. Anyhow, these guys are amongst the top echelons of business in their part of the world and beyond, so this type of networking may have nothing to do with the club, beyond a means of entertaining a prospect a-la any sports related hospitality......................or, it could be another potential hat in the ring at CCS? Hopefully - if the latter - not to the detriment of the club as per the meddling at QPR...!
Ghost, so far as I can see nobody did say the cost was being put against the club accounts. so what prompted you to mention it?
