Anyone else think the club should have offered this given we've never won there and it looks like a relegation 6 pointer already ?
I believe that gesture was also made for the 2013 Boxing Day fixture because trains weren't running? A trip down memory lane? We still got promoted that season thanks to OBZ at Wembley. Time for the big one High-flying QPR - the Championship favourites - travel to Nottingham Forest tonight knowing that a win would send them back to the top of the table. Billy Davies' men are standing in their way, and they also boast one of the strongest squad's in the division. It should be an intriguing game, as both teams go looking for a win to boost their respective promotion aspirations. The teams are out, and it's nights like this when you realize the depth of the visitors' squad. Armand Traore, Andy Johnson, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Nedem Onouha, Junior Hoilett and Yossi Benayoun line up in an all ex-Premier League bench. Matthew Morlidge Host commentator please log in to view this image 21:26 Goodnight What a mammoth day that was! We started off at midday and we've just finished with the Championship action. Forest arguably won Boxing Day's headlines with that performance and result. FULL-TIME: Nottingham Forest 2 QPR 0 That's that from the City Ground, and a convincing win for the hosts. QPR will argue about that second goal, but they didn't look at the races today. They missed Charlie Austin massively, as Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson looked both out of form, and generally not fit. Forest jump into the play-off places, while Rangers don't grab that top spot back as they would have wanted. 90mins: Forest nearly makes it three as Lansbury breaks down the left, firing across goal which forces a fumbled save out of Rob Green. GOAL! NOTTINGHAM FOREST 2 (Reid 80) QPR 0 80mins: The QPR players are furious! Andy Reid scores, but the linesman had his flag up to indicate he was offside. However, Greg Halford made no contact with the ball - if he had Reid would have been offside - and the referee overrules his assistant to award the goal. The visitors are unhappy as a lot of their players stopped - including the goalkeeper - but I guess that teaches you to play to the whistle! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rd-v-Millwall-follow-Championship-action.html
I was there when Matteo Alberti (no me neither) scored twice and we still ****ed it up. Seen us lose there 4-0 and 5-0 and the aforementioned 2-0. Sod's law we'll nick a win this weekend as they're as **** as we are when I'm on the other side of the world.
Even if they offered free transport and all the gold I could eat, I still wouldn't go. We are going to lose.
Sadly, Croydon, I seriously think we should be looking at the teams below us rather than above. the performances against BFC, PNE, NUFC alone cannot be repeated if we are not to become relegation candidates.
