The only name on this list that stands out for me is Agbonlahor. A top, top striker superior to anyone we have in the squad, still only 31 and who has got burnt and might feel he has a point to prove. That said, we are very much clutching at straws. Would I take a punt on him? Only for a low wage and a high goal bonus.
Not an awful lot of talent on that list, unsurprisingly. Agbonlabor had quality, and is probably the best striker on there, but the guy’s attitude stinks and he’s lost more than a yard of pace. Villa couldn’t wait to get rid of him when his contract expired. I’d rather we relied on our academy and reserve lads. We talk them up on here, and rightly so as they’re both topping their respective divisions, let’s actually give them a chance.
Ben Folami will hopefully get a seat on the bench at least. Looked decent with the ball at his feet and can play across the front line, but is probably still a little too lightweight.. Not sure he'll be any less effective than Harrison has been so far though
Well.. That has pissed all over that idea. He's away with the Australian U19 national side for the whole of October so won't be involved anytime soon
