We're not scheduled for one of their main matches tomorrow but if you haven't already got Sky and have nothing better to do - Sky Sports 1 will shift to Sky 2 for the day, allowing Sky viewers who do not subscribe to the sports package to watch for nothing, and on Freeview and YouView services it will take over Pick TV for the day. However, and I don't know how this works, it's possible that you can choose to watch full highlights of our game in the evening - It will include Jeff Stelling's Soccer Saturday coverage, followed by its 5.30pm live Premier League match and by delayed coverage of one of the afternoon kick-offs and its interactive Football First service.
My TV package is with Virgin, and we don't currently have Sky. Am I right in thinking that the free access won't work for me?
If you can get Pick TV on Free View then you will be able to get it, I imagine you can on Virgin. Pick TV is just a regular Free View Channel Like Dave, Channel 4+1 etc
And Virgin and BT have come to an agreement where BT channels will be available via Virgin as well as Sky so you could get those channels free if you have BT Broadband, or for £12 a month if you don't. I get it because I have BT Broadband and it's not a bad channel - apparently it has a million subscribers already - Sky has 10 million but not all take sport. It is also showing German, American and Italian football (and possibly French, too) as well as a lot of ML Baseball as the package also includes ESPN. This is a real bonus for me as I love Baseball. Here endeth the advert.
Complete tangent here, but when I was in Amsterdam last year me and my mate spent hours watching women's baseball. If I told you we were watching it in a coffee shop you'll understand why...
To go further off topic, I once watched a dvd/vhs of led zeppelin live in an amsterdam coffee shop, my mind was already blown but the performance painted the ceilings.
I am watching the Leeds game now on freeview channel 11 (eleven), the Swansea vs Man u game is on later. I don't know how long the free matches last though.
Abit off topic but if you didn't know Virgin media now have ESPN back and also BTsport 1 and 2 on channels 547-548
I think the free coverage is from 9am to 8pm today. Maybe it was 8am to 9pm, but I definitely read one or other of those somewhere.
