For anyone that likes these kind of games, I stumbled across Manager League. You can play 100% free for all time if you wish, or top up your credits to do a number of things with your team and stadium. I must highlight again though that it can be totally free and just as enjoyable. I have had one full season (which lasts about a month), and have just started the 2nd season following a one week break. It's constant throughout the year, and because you have to keep active just about every day, it keeps the interest high. You start in the bottom division for your chosen league and try to work your way up, buying players, training them, getting the right formations etc, building your stadium from scratch and earn money through attendances, shops etc. Win trophies and get extra credits, get sponsorship deals every season and make money - good money if you win the league or any major cups etc. Well worth a look if you like this sort of thing, and who knows, I might bump in to you at some point.
