the mistake was made months before that as soon as we got whiff that wood was our man and a price was agreed at 500k with WBA some sort of contract should have been put infront of him to sign. seems we learnt **** all from the Punch saga And Berylson made it known public that Jackett could still have the 1.5million to buy a replacement and what happened we get 2 loanees and give away Hendo. We are now getting what we deserved **** all 6 points clear of relegation,on the back of 5 str8 defeats and 2 away games to come. Its not looking rosie thats for sure,,,,
If the worst does happen then I hope KJ does not get the boot as whatever is going on with the transfer "strategy" (if that is what it was) does not appear to be of his making, more the board or even and individual higher up the food chain. Alas, as is often the case the manager becomes the scape-goat for the boards pussy-footing about.
KJ will put out his best possible team from what he's got. I'm not going to talk tactics because I'm not there to see it but the lack of balls to buy a decent striker is there for all to see.
Thai I think youre wrong m8 Jackett is in total charge of team affairs absolutly no doubt about it. and Berylson has stated many times he wants Millwall to be an attacking force. not to long ago we were just that Its not so much the losing of wood he is just one player who should have been replaced but the tinkering with the whole team. i know we have had injuries and suspensions but they are poor excuses. Something in the camp is seriously wrong and whatever it is it needs sorting. I am KJs biggest fan best manager we have had in years but if its him whos lost it then its him who pays the price. There is no better manager out there (in my eyes) than KJ and he is deffo the man to get us out of this mess (in my eyes) but if he has lost the faith from his players then its maybe time to change.. we loaned punch who is young Kane who is young wood who is young and they all done a great job for us but now KJ has brought in Hulse probably looking for experence but thats not what we needed, we needed young and full of guile and ambition and fight type of striker.surely theres plenty of them out there.someone signed on a permanent basis not a quick fix like Hulse. i know we have Tyson but not convinced about him but hey in KJ i trust So if its not KJ what or who is it ?
So KJ said they wouldn't pay more for Wood and break the wage structure etc? Are you sure? I would have thought KJ would be trying his best to keep hold of him?
Which ever way you look at and whoever is responsible for the changes made at the end of December, that is indeed when it all started to go wrong.
Thai Wood not signing was woods choice once Leicester showed an interest there was nothing Millwall, Jackett, or Berylson, could have done about it, It should never have got to that stage we should have had him tied up long before that happened
Since then theres been more bad decisions made, we lost henderson to Forest why did THEY think he was good enough for them yet we thought he wasnt good enough for us we signed Woolford Tyson and Hulse with their 3 wages combined surely would have made more sence to keep Hendo and just buy a replacement for Wood Wages wise would have been cheaper
I know we needed a left winger as cover for Taylor but would have thought a good striker was much more important. and we could have got a Taylor replacement on loan until such time Taylor was back in the fold
Well Forest also decided to sack their manager when they were 7th and a point off 6th and that Boyd (set up 3 and scored 1 last night) couldn't see well enough. Don't pay to much attention to what Forest think about footballing matters! We clearly should have had a clause to get Wood if his loan was going well but West Brom may have said no you can loan him on our terms or we will send him to another club take it or leave it. Players need to put in some effort I blame them completely not KJ. Need ****tu back sharpish as ironically without him we are nothing but ****!
WBA and Berylson had agreed a fee of 500k so WBA clearly didnt say no! thats the point something should have been put into writing. But KJ and Berylson are men of their words we know that, But clearly as time went on Wood and WBA showed they were not Money started talking louder..... Should have been a contract of sorts signed at that time.
Anyway thats now all water under the Bridge we can argue about that all day the big question is where do we go from here ? Taylor,****tu,Tyson all back soon lets hope we kick on from then
Maybe Wood didn't agree to it. I'm not going to speculate on what was said or agreed between the clubs as clearly Leicester made a better offer or looked a more attractive option to Woods career. If WBA had broken some deal we would have taken legal action. Wood didn't want to play for us end of. We really shouldn't rely so much on a single player and the other strikers should be grasping their opportunity to be in starting 11. It's basically the same players that managed a long unbeaten run and now don't look like getting a point!
http://www.newsatden.co.uk/14945-abdou-losing-run-has-not-affected-millwalls-confidence.html We know you havnt lost it Jimmy always 110%
Can't fault Jimmy always gives his all and with his son being sick he could be forgiven for having a dip in form. What's the excuse for the rest of them? I actually hope we sell Trotter now, does so little for the team, cash in and buy someone who cares Agreed Malone and Taylor coming back will make a massive difference. Assuming they can now walk I would put then back in straight away
Not sure I meant Malone honestly forgotten if he played well for us. Taylor definitely was good though
