No, C.C stated taking on free agents was not possible not that he would not, it requires Short and Bain to have the rethink. Do you not think CC would love a little wage budget to go and strengthen with a free agent? Of course he would, we all would.
I was all for Ledley mate but they're completely different types of player. Had we got Ledley, we still would have needed an attacking CM, given the one we went for has been crocked all season, it shows in the results that it was another Short blunder short changing the budget. But Grayson was 100% spot on trying to get an attacking minded CM. It was essential, the budget left us with a crock, same old same old.
