    No idea. Would prefer Alonso if it was a stop gap though. P.L proven and brilliant in that pivot role and would be cheaper as in final 6 months of his contract - assuming Real would be prepared to sell in Jan.

    Guarin can play Champions League though, should have signed Strootman, playing brilliant this year.

    This is what I always find funny. What ever team we sign a player from the replacement they get always turns out better so why don't we just buy the replacement <steam>

    My son, who's Chelsea fanatic, and keeps abreast of everything happening in Europe, particularly things associated with Chelsea reckons he 's hot stuff and might be the perfect replacement for Frankie!

    OK then BM2, hope your son is right. That means the question is " Is Freddy Gaurin any good ". Frank will take some replacing that's for sure. How old are his kids ??
