So...... A constant starter for England unders 20s, 19, 18, 17 and 16s Called up for u21s. Has been training with the full England squad Should he now be in serious consideration to be our no1? Will he stagnate like all our youngsters who do not get given game time? Obviously he should have been given the shirt against Forest but hey ho.
Donnarumma is only 18 and is no1 at Milan! Butland signed for Stoke at his age. Timo Horn is only a couple of years older same as Jan Oblak.
I think Elliot deserves his No.1 until he causes good reason to be dropped. After that he should literally be next in line. I don't rate Darlow, fella's one flailing leg away from a ****-up. I get palpitation when he runs off his line
Not sure Woodman is ready to start ahead if Elliott but I'd certainly have him on the bench ahead of Darlow
Agree with Cheggers. Elliot has done nothing wrong but should he slip up then give Woodman a go. Cliche for sure but if you're good enough you're old enough
I hope we don't end up with another Forster situation here. I think he is too young to be played in the prem this year but I think we should be looking at how we can get him onto the first team pitch more next season
you mean by taking the cups a bit more serious then ? heaven's above thats not in Ashley's remit I think he's good enough to sign a long term deal though
Problem is, is that if he's on the bench he's not playing and, therefore, not learning from his own experiences. Better for him to play rather than sit on the bench.
Not sure why people think Elliot has done enough to warrant being no1. His distribution is poor and every time a ball goes in high I feel like he is going to fumble it. Woodman on the other hand, every time I have seen him play for England looks confident
