I fail to see why. FC's ship has sailed as far as we're concerned. Anyway, I'm surprised to hear you've bid £1million for him, he has an £800k relegation release clause in his contract. Good player though, defo a step up from Nug.
It wouldn't bother most of the Hull City fans at all. He's an arrogant prick who has had numerous times to sign for us and every time turned us down only to go to every club and be a massive failure. His only real successful season was when we got promoted with us. It all went to his head and for a striker that had so much potential he has not fulfilled it and hardly scored any goals. He's either sat in the bench, in the reserves or gets relegated. I hope you don't sign him because he could very well disturb your club harmony. He still has something to offer obviously. The way he has celebrated when scoring against us is disgusting considering it was us that have him his first break.
I heard you'd been linked with him yet again. Not sure if he is a step up from Nugent. Maybe a better finisher, but so was Beckford (allegedly).
Why do you say he's arrogant? I don't think there's anything wrong with celebrating against a club you were only on loan at. Can't say I'd be disgusted if Cleverley scores and celebrates against us next season.
A good signing for you and Albrighton looks a decent buy too. I can't see you getting relegated next season if you continue to add some more signings. As for Campbell, I'd have him back but he'd be behind Long and Jelavic for a starting place. Looks like there will be lots of cross board banter again very soon.
As said above there is very few hull fans that would want him back he certainly wouldn't get in ahead of long and jelavic and couldn't see him signing for us as a third choice , had enough goes at premier level without really doing much , pop over to the cardiff board there happy for him to stay at championship level but if they had stayed up I get the impression they wouldn't care less if he was sold.
I think he'd do well with good service from our midfield, I did wonder a while back if we'd be interested in a bid for him. £1M does seem cheap unless there is this clause in his contract. Hey I'm happy if we can pick up decent players on the cheap, spending money for the sake of it seems pointless, "cough" Spurs.
His Premier League record is appallng and in Hull, he's about as popular as Chlamydia. Not bad value at £1m, but you're welcome to him.
OLM, can you elaborate on CMPUNK's post about him being arrogant? It's unlike Pearson to be interesting in a player like that.
Has he said that or are you just assuming this because he hasn't signed for you? Could be a whole host of reasons fro not signing with you.
I'd be happy with this. He stood out in a poor Cardiff team, really worked hard too, and £1million for a player with as much experience at only 26 is a pretty good deal. Considering we're being linked with the older, unproven Ulloa for 7 times that!
