Happy 20th Birthday to Galileo he is a great stallion and thanks to him and Kind we got Frankel.

 

I’m debating starting a new thread for the 2018 Flat season. This one has run for 2 years already and is very long. Would everyone be ok with that? I’ll intend to update my spreadsheets with names, trainers, etc of all the crops to date before I start it.

 

Great idea PNkt, being a newbie here it was nice to read from start but the thread will always remain.

Thanks Chaos. I’ve been in a lot of contact with Jess over the last few months, he’s a great additional source of information for the overseas runners!

I’ll get cracking on updating the spreadsheets and will put up a new thread in the coming weeks. When it is ready I’ll ask Ron to close this thread to new posts but keep it availabke for anyone who wants to read it.

One problem with closing the thread Princess is that it will gradually disappear (I doubt we would have 2 sticky Frankel threads). I could put a link from the new thread to this one so it can be referenced easily. Another option is to rename this thread so it can be kept indefinitely; looks good to see threads with loads of views and postings. Another option would be to have a sticky Frankel mega thread. So, Eg Frankel the Stallion being the main thread and within that an index to all things Frankel related (eg this thread, specific posts in this thread, articles, other Frankel threads).

Just a few thoughts. Let me know how you would like it all structured

 

Thanks Ron, i’ll Have a ponder but I’m thinking a Mega thread might be the way to go, w be had so many over the years it would be a shame to lose them!

First runner of the year this evening in AT YOUR SERVICE in the 5.30 at Dundalk. He’s not really troubled the judge since a few promising runs as a 2yo so not expecting much!

 

If you decide on a mega thread I could create a new thread, copying all the posts with videos of his winners and create a link to that/those (eg separate video thread for each year)
