I think Wild Beauty is a huge price given the fact she’s a G1 winner and with a Classic trial under her belt, but I fear the ground might be too quick for her.

Quick question(s) Princess - in terms of the mares Frankel is generally sent, would you say they are generally from more stamina-laden families? What I mean is, are breeders trying to add some stamina to what they think is a speedy sire to produce horses that can be 8-10F or even 10-12F horses? Or is he seeing a right old mixture? Has he sired any highly rated sprinters or would this be highly unlikely, given he is by Galileo? The trigger for these questions is that Kingman has a couple of his fillies running in the Cheshire Oaks today. That surprised me and I wondered if they are trying the same trick with him (i.e. sending him mares with more stamina-laden pedigrees)?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree completely?

Kingman's earnings numbers heavily skewed by 3 milers - Palace Pier, Persian King and Schnell Meister - and the 9F horse Domestic Spending who won over 6 million quid between them <yikes>

To begin with he got a lot of middle distance “traditional” types but people have noticed the results he’s got down under from the speedy Australian mares that have been sent to him (see table, though obv some of those are older horses sent to race as Cup horses), so his book has seen a swing towards the speedier mares.

He’s one of those stallions that “throws to the mare” - they come in all shapes and sizes, hence why people backed off his first yearlings at the sales as they didn’t know what to make of them. He seems to impart the engine rather than a particular “type”.
