Considering he hates running downhill and not happy with Epsom I thought he ran a blinder. After all he had about a furlong to make a run and he did that in style. Watched it twice and for me that was among his best runs, he proved a serious will to to win.
He was 1.9 secs faster than the Oaks winner and 3.56 secs slower than the Derby winner. But the ground was soft for the Coronation and Oaks and good for the Derby. Not sure how much difference the ground makes to times but Cracksman was carrying the same weight as the Oaks and Derby winners. Pity the ground changed for the Derby as it could have been more informative
I wonder what the level stake profit/loss would be backing Frankel progeny By age and sex Could be interesting
I have to congratulate JUSTIFY on winning the Triple Crown wire to wire. Only the second unbeaten horse to win it. He was bred by John Gunther who bred Without Parole
Ron, it would be interesting. I might be able to do something with that so bear with me for a bit and I’ll see what I can do.
LEARN BY HEART (bred and formerly owned by the Queen) hoses up in Norway this afternoon. The Norwegian 2000 Guineas and Derby are next on his agenda.
