Ground apparently. They’ve just published this in the “Ones to Watch” list: Without Parole John Gosden An offspring of Frankel, the three-year-old appeared just nine days before Christmas to squeeze in a juvenile outing but it was worth the wait as he ran out a six-length winner of a mile maiden at Newcastle. please log in to view this image Without Parole and Robert Havlin are out on their own GROSSICK RACING PHOTOGRAPHY 0771 He has subsequently been working nicely on the turf and all-weather gallops this spring. He was supposed to run in the Feilden Stakes at Newmarket's Craven meeting but missed that on account of the ground. He is expected to make up into a smart prospect over 1m2f or further.
I’ve decided to head up to the racecourse to watch ELARQAM and CRACKSMAN Work so if I get any good photos i’ll pop them on here.
That would be great if you can PNkt, thought it might be the ground in the case of Without Parole, shame this weather came a week to late.
I got a few shots and a brief video of Frankie being given the leg up on CRACKSMAN but sadly most of the photos were rubbish! I can’t seem to put them up here (might be too large), so I’ve added them to the Not 606 Facebook page:
No run for FIRST ELEVEN today with the abandonment of Beverley, but JUYUSH did the honours in France a short time ago, winning by 6 lengths. Fingers crossed for FRANKUUS and QAZYNA this afternoon!
VERACIOUS had a gallop before racing today: Dettori jumps at chance to ride Veracious in 1,000 Guineas Veracious and Frankie Dettori storm clear from stablemate Homeopathic in their 7f gallop before racing at Newmarket on Wednesday please log in to view this image Veracious and Frankie Dettori storm clear from stablemate Homeopathic in their 7f gallop before racing at Newmarket on Wednesday Edward Whitaker (racingpost.com/photos) 1 of 2 By Bruce Jackson UPDATED 2:21PM, APR 18 2018 Frankie Dettori will take the ride on Sir Michael Stoute's Veracious in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas after partnering the daughter of Frankel in a strong gallop at Newmarket before racing on Wednesday. Veracious won her maiden from Godolphin's subsequent dual scorer Winter Lightning at Newmarket in October, and Dettori said: "It's the first time I've ridden her and she gave me a good impression and is fit and well. "She goes into the race an unknown quantity but it looks an open Guineas." Veracious will be bidding to give Stoute and her owner-breeder Cheveley Park Stud another 1,000 Guineas 15 years after Russian Rhythm scored for the same connections. Veracious was led in her 7f gallop by Kempton maiden winner Homeopathic (Ryan Moore), who was not asked to go with Veracious when Dettori tested his mount for stamina having won her maiden over 7f last year. That was nearly two furlongs out and Veracious lengthened nicely to the line to finish well clear. Bookmakers Paddy Power cut her to 8-1 (from 10) for the Classic on May 6. Paddy Power spokesman Paul Binfield said: “Veracious was already many people’s idea of the winner of the first fillies’ Classic and after the way she picked up so well in the gallop with Frankie, who will ride her in the big one, pushing her clear of her lead companion, we’ve been compelled to cut her.” Stoute said: "Frankie was very happy with her. She is a nice filly who won her maiden here well. She is developing pleasingly and will run in the Guineas.
Very taking Win for QAZYNA, she should have a nice race in her. SURYA takes on a half-brother to CRACKSMAN in the Wood Ditton tomorrow and of course we have the debut of ZARKAMIYA to look forward to.
RABDAN likely to run in the Derby Trial at Epsom next week after being added to the Derby at the second entry stage.
ZARKAMIYA wins a shade cosily by about a length at Longchamp. Travelled well in mid-field, took a bit of time to respond but won nicely in the end.
I was at the course to wTch him, he was very chilled out in the paddock compared to a lot of them and looked pretty professional. He travelled well in the race but just couldn’t go with them when it kicked up a gear. He’ll have learned a lot from that and hopefully will do better next time out. He has fancy entries so they must think a bit of him.
