i've said this for a number of years now and i will say it again. frank lampard. what on earth does he do? players like javier hernandez, michael owen are the classic fox in the box. Frank Lampard is a fox on the edge of the box. he's rubbish apart from when he's on the edge of the box and he never gets there for england so why play him. my future england team: .......................Hart Johnson..Ferdinand..Terry..Cole .......................Parker ..............Gerrard......Wilshere ............Young............Rooney .......................Bent

It's questionable whether he should play for England again but he certainly shouldn't be starting matches. We looked a lot better when he came off. The future lineup should be: ................................Hart Richards..Cahill/Ferdinand..Jagielka/Terry..Cole/Baines .................................Parker .....Johnson/Lennon.....Wilshere/Gerrard.......Young ................................Rooney ..................................Bent
lampard looked off the pace yesterday. very disappointed with him and i felt wilshere and parker actually worked better when it was just those 2. but i think you cant really single out lampard for criticism as there was 5 or 6 others out there who were equally poor.
Ashley young and Wilshire are the future of that midfield Hart was umbelievably sh**te yesterday, it was embarasing, I think bent is good but had a poor game but I do believe it is time to stop playing these older players and give the youth a chance, because this so called dream england team has been terrible
All the old guard looked poor yesterday to be fair. It was shocking how slow Ferdinand and Terry looked. Glenda looked like he couldn't be bothered to do any defending and only came to life when he was in the oppositions half. Walcott was MIA again and is turning into Tony Daley with his speedy runs which leave the ball behind. Parker was poor but at least was hungry for the ball. And Lampard? Same as always for England. Practically non-existent. Lucky to score the penalty as well. But at least Crouch didn't come on. He isn't even good enough to start at Spurs let alone England.
