France v England.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game. Well done Lady Eleanor, I hope you had a bet!

As I suspected, France were not the world beaters everyone dressed them up to be. I'd watched the majority of their friendlies and qualification games, they lived a charmed life and were no great shakes. Suddenly everyone had them down as a fantastic team looking only at 21 games unbeaten. They're a decent side like ourselves, no better.

I have to say England were better than I thought. We are down to the bare bones though and I think we'll be out of gas if we do get out of the group. The lack of midfield options is a killer. I still think Osman/Britton although risky inclusions give you more mobility and options than Downing/Henderson. It was nice to play them off the park for long spells watching them chase the ball. Not so long ball now Mr Blanc! Tool.
