Good, he would only have disappointed us. He wasn't really what we need.

Good luck to him, and Cardiff, but I suspect this is not going to be a good match long term for either of them.

Not of all us wanted him back regardless of his abilities!

This - it isnt sour grapes, he is a really good player, but in a young, talented team we need someone with nous and experience who has been there and done that. Basically, someone like Deano.

He's got ability but for the most part he's been untested over the last couple of years. For his age he's not played as much as he could have done and it remains unseen as to how much this might have hindered his development. Looked very promising when he was on loan with us but from what I've seen, about 60% of us on here didn't think he was the answer.

Very interesting move. I'm not sure how he fits in at Cardiff, nor how he would have fitted in for us. He played off Deano when we were last here, did we hope Prossie would provide the same support?

Hopefully that will draw a line in it once and for all.

Shame would of been an improvement on what we have, saying that he's still living on the back of the 15 goals he scored when he was here 5 years ago, his Sunderland record on paper is far from impressive to be honest.

He's a prick, I'm sorry but him and his dad are both pricks. Yet again his dad gave it the old "He likes the idea of coming to Hull and the drop down doesn't bother him" We didn't fall for it this time mind, not as bad as last time anyway.

That pretty much guarantees him being a sensation for Cardiff now lol

3 1/2 year deal on a big wage, for a player who's barely played for three seasons.

    They're welcome to that one.

You're assuming his wage is high. Fact is you don't have a clue, which makes a change <whistle> <laugh>

No sour grapes, I hope h comes good, he was a big part of our promotion campaign. But he isn't what we need now, and I saw little point in us bidding for him (we didn't).

What we needed, what we still need, is a Becchio, a DJ Campbell, a Marlon King, or a Gedo.

Of those I wouldn't give Marlon the reek off my **** because of his personality flaws.

Of the other three, Becchio is least likely because of cost, DJ would, in my opinion fit the bill perfectly and, I suspect, do the biz. for us. But, as a dark horse (don't tell Tesco), I rather think Gedo could turn out to be a star buy.

    We'll see.
