winning the games against birmingham and blackpool away from home has convinced me that this is our year. fraizer campbell has something to prove and will add quality and competition to the attack, it was great to see smith come back and add composure up front too......

campbell will take a few games to regain sharpness, no problem at all as we already have other players up front who can score and create goals.......

the jacks will be starting to realise that we will be in the PL soon, and what a double match that will be, a welsh derby in the PL. and although i dont want to jump the gun, i dont think wholesale changes is what is needed if we can finish off the job and get promoted, in any case QPR have proven that promoted teams dont need players with big reputations who are only there for the paycheque to do well....... our approach so far has worked fine.....

we all knew that another striker was needed to give us another option up front, and for the money i cant see anyone around who can provide as much bang for buck, people were talking about jerome but it was obvious he would cost 5 times more than campbell, and on form, i think campbell can be much better.

now all we need is an experienced CB who can fill in when we get an injury, and i think malky will be confident he has all the tools to deliver what he came here to do in the first place, to get the capital into the big time.

premiership here we come <nahnah> <cool>

    Great post!

I agree completely. Campbell on form could terrorise most premiership defences, let alone championship defences.

Promotion changes everything Tim, a few defeats and the manager's at risk, and this team has not been that convincing this season...yet! Wholesale changes would have to be made, only a few would survive. What I do believe is that the owner's will not allow us to come down, as next year the rewards are fantastic...apparantly!<cheers>

I'm not too sure on needing an experienced CB. I like the look of Nugent (not in that way) and I think the more time he has now the more ready he will be IF we get promoted.

    Agreed Arwr.

I thought he was ball watching and too close to Connolly for Blackpool's goal but he showed what a great prospect he is after that. He put the error behind him, didn't loose another challenge, was commanding in the air and on the ground and was actually more vocal than Connolly in calling the back four froward.

If he continues his progress he could be a City great and, as Malky has said, a future club captain.

I was one of those hoping Cam would sign for us because I believed he was the type of targetman all our long balls forward would be aimed at. Now that Frazier has signed I assume the long ball forward from Marshall and the back 4 will now be reduced. I will back Frazier 100% now he's a Buebird but please don't think he is costing us next to nothing. I think he will be one of the highest earners at City. I do though, genuinely think he will pay dividends.

Yes, certainly not a targetman but very quick, runs the channels well and a good scoring track record for Hull at this level. Will be great for all concerned if he is a success.

I still think we need cover at full back not CB. Frazier I am sure will be a hit I recall watching Maynard in the first few games and his movement and pace more than made up foe the lack of a target man, If Frazier is in the same sort of mold then I am sure we have the players in the side to pass it around for a player that makes the right runs. As for Nugent I have been super impressed with him so far yes he has made mistakes and yes he will make more but as its been said already now is the time to get a young player like him involved when his mistakes aren’t punished every time and aren’t costing the team major points. He is a future city captain and Scott young type of serving player I hope!!

Spot on, it was metioned somewhere when we first were linked that we had matched his current deal. A deal which was for a £3.5 mill CF moving from Man U.
