You have deffo got a bargain and I am so glad we don't have to spend the next 2 months debating whether he will come to Hull or not.

 

Gives us options. 800k isn´t a risk at all & he´s still quite young. See what NP & his staff can do to get him ticking.

For the very same reason that we paid £8M and gave a £45K a week contract for 5 years for Cornelius, and then sold the duffer back to Copenhagen 5 months later for £3M plus a contract payoff package for the guy. That little episode cost the club a cool £8.5M.

Ahh, the reason - the total ineptitude of the Malky Mackay/Ian Moody buying team who were like kids in a sweetshop when we got to the Prem, and couldn't write a contract before that for the benefit of the club to save their bloody lives.

I did wind you up a bit a couple of weeks back over the initial mention of Campbell joining you regarding other clubs outbiding you for him. I honestly thought you'd get some competition for his signature, even on his contract demands given that ridiculous £800K release clause he had.

If you've got him, good luck to you - you've got a very good trier who will run his guts out on the pitch for the cause, though the end results can be disappointing.
We just need to move on and adjust to the Championship again. Hope to play you again the year after next in the same division. Hopefully for both of us it'll be the one you've just got into and not the the one you've just left.

Deffinate bargain, i would still have him back at United as a squad player. Fully commited and will never dissapoint you (though suffers injury because of this). On another note, welcome to the Premier league, you have been missing from the top table for far too long.
