Fairly sure he was out of contract this summer anyway, would have been interesting to see how it was handled if he had years to go.
Can't condone what happened but a touch of over reaction? Worse than that occurs in rugby every week but because it is a ' game for chaps ' nothing is said. If every push in rugby was punished by a 10 game ban and every punch resulted in expulsion from their club no club would be able to raise a team. God knows what punishment would be handed out for deliberate stamping or eye gouging!!! Sorry I forgot - they call the referee 'Sir' so everything else is OK.
