I would just add that Donald was hugely culpable for the fiasco of selling Maja and putting his all into buying Grigg when after watching STID 2 he seemed to be the only one convinced with this player. That one decision in buying a player who wasn't fit and subsequently didn't settle in for that season cost us promotion. But thats my opinion.
Has put us back several years

We couldn't have been much closer to promotion without getting it to be fair, the plan very nearly worked. If we'd performed better on that one day in that one game we'd have gone up.
Yeah we were close but he still presided over the worst finishing position in the history of the club. The slash and burn approach would have been a masterstroke if it had come off but when it didn't he continued to slash rather than changing tactics. Now he has presided over our two worst place finishes in the history of the club whilst turning our academy into ****, our second string and kids teams into turd.

Its been a disaster, not sure anyone could say anything other given where we are going to be for a third season.

We have a stadium, a training complex, thats about it. They have ripped the ****ing guts out of it financially which needed to be done. We have few if any saleable players, academy set up a ****ing joke.We need scouts, coaches, some decent players and a clear plan. £35 million for division 3? Please just **** off, if you deduct the parachute money we would be sold. But the dynamic duo think they will get that from someone. I hope they get what they deserve

The stadium has new f ing seats though man.

I've always been of the opinion that FPP was indeed set to take over the club, but there was something that came up in the due diligence that made them back away.

IMO, the loan was a face saving exercise to appease the fans who would have been baying for blood if Stuart Donald had come out of the talks empty handed.
Face saving for SD perhaps but I doubt FPP people could care less. Looking at a potential deal but then walking away is par for the course in private equity.

Do you think they would loan money to allow SD to save face or do you think they still retain some interest in the club, or a bit of both?

I used to run a coach from Mansfield and numbers would fluctuate depending on how well we were doing.

There was a hardcore who'd support the Lads no matter what but some people went for entertainment which is fair enough ....

... there's room for both but imo supporting the club through the bad times is support.

Only going when you feel like it is no different to going to the pictures imo.

That's proper fans turning up even though ****e just imagine if we were actually good...
That's the bit that puzzles me, surely any prospective owner can see the potential if they just got us vaguely good (not in win the league good) but attempting to compete in mid table of the Premier league.

Jesus, even competing in the championship would see 40k Gates

Easily we could get over 40k in this league if we actually had a good team that went for it.
