Hmmmm

£35 million eh?

£25 million to Ellis now owed by Madrox to safc, plus approximately £10 million loan from FPP..... equals £35 million. Well I never!

The FPP fellas have played a blinder here.

The £40 million price tag. £25million owed by Madrox. JS bought 20% for £3 million, which would make 100% £15 million. £25 million + £15 million = £40 million.....
Right, based on all the analysis from Kittenmittons, Bob Cheval and all, it looks like it is as simple as that. Except I read the ES price was reduced to 37M from 40M. The SD sale price will be the best deal SD can negotiate between 35M-40M (which includes 25M for payback of the 25M from Madrox to SAFC), or 10M-15M if the buyer just assumes the debt (say by buying Madrox). I know I'm repeating what others have said, but I want to make sure I finally understand this!

And what’s your final assumption

Just had a quick look at who were among the first gloaters, on the equivalent RTG thread, and it couldn't be more predictable.

Phil, SAFC 2012, Jardine, Abu Dhabi, etc straight on dripping out their tedious drivel ...

... and equally predictable, they've now vanished or throwing up smokescreens.

Absolutely cringing behaviour from people claiming to be Sunderland supporters ...

... if most people like them were supporters I wouldn't want to be.

I have a question for everyone.

Let's assume that we have two realistic options.

1: Donald stays on indefinitely, FPP remain in play, they gradually acquire more of the club over the next few years with Donald running the club until they become majority owners...

Or

2: Donald sells to an unknown third party in the next month or two, and is gone for good, but so are FPP and we're in the hands of a mystery owner for the foreseeable future.

Which would you prefer?

Whichever one sees us produce a proper League 1 winning team if we don't go up this season and genuine investment in the squad once in the Championship either way.

I know everyone wants new ownership, but it really has to be someone happy to part with many millions.
As rumoured, many of the previously interested parties just planned to go straight into high debt to generate the funding to invest in the team.

It wouldn't be as high obviously but I'm not sure how Id feel about that with the Ellis Short £160m debt still fresh in the memory

Have been told over there that the Echo are not a reliable source and that FPP did not attend a board meeting in December

Methven said it happened for what it's worth.

How would anyone able to claim someone wasn't there unless they knew someone who was ...

... or were there themselves?

I am of the opinion that I believe something is true until it is proved to the contrary that it isn't. I do not have to prove my innocence in court, the prosecution must prove that I am guilty :emoticon-0148-yes:

Some people are just desperate to run the club down, they don't care about facts or proof mate ...

... how sad must it be to be them eh?
