Digressing slightly but has this ownership thing got anything to do with why nothing has been mentioned about new season tkts yet? Normally pushing us to renew by now and issuing costs n dates of direct debits.
Feel a lot more confident reading the past few pages like good posts cheers
I've always thought we won't find out till end of season anyway as obviously which division we are in makes a huge difference price wise.
Apparently SAFC had the largest football attendance in Europe yesterday according to a fellow supporter. It's easy to get dragged down by the pro-miserati on RTG jumping on any perceived negative like a dog at broth.
It's probably best to see all the 'statements' from Donald as public negotiating and advertising.
Of course various entities 'enquire about the club' but that's a long way from what FPP have done.
It's all very well saying gates are irrelevant but we have top ten fan base and current gates that some PL clubs envy.
We'll be bought because we're a club with real potential ...
... we've heard that all before but it doesn't make it any less true.
Everton 38k?Apparently SAFC had the largest football attendance in Europe yesterday according to a fellow supporter.
Liverpool is no longer in Europe mateEverton 38k?
I have a question for everyone.
Let's assume that we have two realistic options.
1: Donald stays on indefinitely, FPP remain in play, they gradually acquire more of the club over the next few years with Donald running the club until they become majority owners...
Or
2: Donald sells to an unknown third party in the next month or two, and is gone for good, but so are FPP and we're in the hands of a mystery owner for the foreseeable future.
Which would you prefer?
I can't say I've ever heard of Barcelona or Madrid Presidents pumping their own money in. They are usually wealthy people in their own right, but mainly because they tend to have business or law backgrounds. These clubs are huge money-making machines. The Presidents are merely given a mandate to spend the money that the clubs generate. When Florentino Perez sets out his plan to sign 'galacticos' that's because the club can afford it. They also know that the combination of glamorous club and glamorous player will set those cash registers ringing again. When I don't fully understand how something works and then another can't explain it I find it comforting to learn that it wasn't just me being 'thick'.
Many thanks for your reassurance on that.![]()

Eintracht Frankfurt had 48,800Atletico Madrid were at home, as were Shalke, Porto (against Benfica), PSV Eindhoven and Marseille among others. I seriously doubt your fellow supporter has a clue
Eintracht Frankfurt had 48,800
Hertha Berlin had 35.049
Schalke had 61,614
Werder Bremen 42,100
Athletico 54,113
PSV 34,700
In the Bundesliga 2
Hamburg 49,581
VFB Stuttgart 50,846
to name a few
And Hertha BSC could have still got another 40k in there. Funny thing about that place is, the atmosphere is still quite good even though they rarely fill it.Eintracht Frankfurt had 48,800

number 1 if he still invests to give a realistic chance of successive promotionsI have a question for everyone.

Yes but I was thinking if FPP were to invest more then that could be used for player purchases rather than infrastructure which the recent loan was apparently for.But he doesnt have the money to do that.
From day 1 he has relied on convoluted loans and parachute payments.
Another of him and he will be relying on provy orders to pay the wages.
The confusion is caused by everyone trying to label every bit of money as this or that. The key point is that there is a difference between SAFC and the company that owns SAFC. SAFC loaned Madrox £25m which they used to pay Short. There is nothing odd about this - Short knew that money was coming in. He could have waited until it arrived, used it to pay off the club debt to himself and then sold the club after. Instead he sold it beforehand but the valuation obviously reflected the fact that SAFC was abo to be given £25m in parachute payments. It is another red herring really.Forgive my ignorance Bob,
With all the numbers that have been thrown about, where does the 25m he owes the club come from. I thought the 25m was given to Short as he cleared the SBC debt as part of the deal, in other words a club debt which was factored into the original deal.
If Short didn't pay the debt then the club would have had to once SD took over and the parachute payments would have been used anyway.
Obviously i must be missing something![]()
