Lets hope he turns out to be as good as the last 2 boys we signed from Ligue 2.

 

3 if you include Knocky who was quality for the level we were at at the time. We do well with these unknowns from france

 

The 2 included Knocky as Kante was Ligue 1 but whatever, all 3 turned out to be 'ok'

 

Ah my bad, thought you were thinking Kante and Mahrez but forgot Kante actually came from the league above

Tbf he turned out to be an excellent championship striker - just not for us. Personally I don’t think we ever gave him enough of a chance but it’s easy to say now - I remember being VERY angry when he missed that penalty...

 

We had better strikers in Fryatt, Howard and Waghorn that year and better strikers in the years after with Vardy, Nugent and Wood

 

Agreed - did a great job for Charlton and Bournemouth after he had adapted though
