Dunno about two and two making five but as a typical-ish 'R', I should be able to make three out of one plus one...

I know Hodgeson spent four long years making a creditable documentary about contemporary football ownership.

I know he's been showing his film to the luvvie brigade around Europe with barely an R's fan in sight.

Surely it would have been just (and lucrative) to strike whilst the iron was hot and get it on telly pronto... We hear that it might get an airing at some art house here or there at some point - but really. What's the point of all that hard work if there's no proper distribution plan in place.

Hodgeson, mate, looks like you've caught a touch of the old Briatores.

Brother Coldharbour: as our movie distribution guru, help me out here. What would you have done to get this film to maximise its obvious potential?

Is there any heads up on when we mere mortals may be able to see it, or where we can get a copy from?

I still reckon this is just up Channel 4's street, independent award-winning documentary that will have the press ready to lambast the Goons...

Don't worry boys, Amit's on the case. I saw him speaking to someone from the film company (the name escapes me atm) about when it will be released and about screenings.

I think he's keen for it to be seen by all R's fans as it will just enforce his position as a Rangers God. Maybe have a screening at HQ.

I'm still hoping to secure a screening or two with Picturehouse Cinemas. The guys were very forthcoming the first time I emailed them in the summer, but have gone quiet since. They originally said they would be back in contact when they have secured a distributor.

Their last tweet, 3 days ago said 'news coming as soon as possible. We have signed with a distributor & exciting news is around the corner! It's coming.. ' So hopefully it won't be long to wait to find out where and when it might be screening.

    The Four Year Plan documentary

The Four Year Plan offers an incredible insight behind the scenes at Queens Park Rangers Football Club and would be of interest to all football fans, but confirms many of our worst fears in terms of the way the club was being governed during this period.

The club hope the current owners learn from the mistakes covered in The Four Year Plan and that more professional conduct and measures are put in place to allow us to prosper. It’s clear from this documentary that we lacked the foundations to grow properly and at times, despite the best intentions, the club was treated like a playground for rich people and that communication between internal departments at the club was poor, let alone communication with the fans.

The appointment of Neil Warnock was crucial to the club and his experience within football and his character allowed us to find the success we craved when it seemed unlikely. The board deserve credit for identifying Mr Warnock as the right man for the job, but it took far too long to reach that consensus and the strategy to hire a strong and experienced character when they could have done that from the outset.

And while Mr Amit Bhatia deserves credit for supporting Mr Warnock and allowing him to do his job properly, it’s evident that the lack of footballing expertise on the board was a hindrance overall, and we urge our current owners to engage more regularly with their supporters and ensure there is a greater understanding of our expectations and that healthy and mutually beneficial relationships are developed both internally between different departments and externally with the fans.

You can read reviews of The Four Year Plan at LoftForWords and QPR Today.

My mate and fellow QPR fan at our Head Office saw a screener of this today and loved it. He told me that one of the programmers will be watching it this week and will decide whether it has a wide enough appeal to show at a few Picturehouse cinemas. At the very least, we will try and get a screening or two in Notting Hill.

If it gets the green light it is very likely to be with a Q&A. My initial thoughts are we could try Amit Bhatia. Who do you guys think would be a good choice? As for hosting, I myself was asked if I'd like to do it, but I'm terrible at public speaking. Thought maybe we could get the presenter of Open All R's..

I'll keep ya informed of any progress and if it does happen I will be on the marketing offensive. You have been warned.
