Gutted. Absolutely gutted, we deserved 3 points, we outplayed the league champions at their ground and we still didn't get what we deserve. However, what a performance, what a system, what passion, what commitment. If we can add 1 or 2 players to this squad and take this on to next coming season we could do very, very well. We have to believe that Rogers can continue with this idea that he has, this way of playing football. The players are starting to work it out. It is not all about Suarez we have players all over the pitch that can do a job. Heads up fellas if that's the future then we should be happy.
Yes A lot of the big games are out of the way now. Hopefully we can have a really good end to the season and build momentum for next year.
Exactly what I was thinking. Would have taken a draw before todays game, but now feel dissapointed because i didnt expect our level o performance to be that good. How many games in a row is it that we have played a good game. Even if we have not had the results. I do feel our defensive performances will improve and then we will be a force to be reckoned with. Need to show real consistancy until the end of the season and we can be a force and real competitors for the top 4 next year. Didnt get the win today, but feel we are still improving and will continue to.
It was almost a replay of the game at Anfield. Outplayed them take the lead then defensive cock up costs us. Where we could have been this season without those 2 errors..well 4 points better off for a start. Anyway, two games against two of the best teams in the league at their ground where we outplayed them and came away undefeated. Gotta be pleased with that. Sturridge was fantastic and I take back everything I said about him when I heard we were going to sign him. Only weak point yet again was downing who although being more involved still doesn't seem to be able to beat his man and deliver a killer ball/cross. Real signs of progress now and we just need to play like this for the rest of the season regardless of the results and then see where we are then. Probably 3 or 4 quality signings ( left back, centre half, right winger and a creative midfielder unless courthino can fill that spot) and I really think we can push into top 4.
I think even the most negative on here (not mentioning any names ) would have to admit that BR is certainly building something here, were progressing ok. Disappointing today to only get the one point but that was the current champions on their own patch! A little more positivity me thinks.
Absolutely mate, we get better with each passing game. Individual errors are costing us at the moment, but they are issues that can be ironed out with time. Certainly seen enough to make me very optimistic.
Be proud lads, the wums will close in and we will have a few more bad results I'm sure. Reina made 1 mistake it happens but he had a solid game otherwise. Just remember that performance and look to the future because it isn't a one off, this is starting to work.
Agree but we still subject to blips but i think it good we are improving as the season is going on as opposed to last year where performances started slipping. I think we need this win against the bigger teams and those in the top half as it is one of the stats that will play on the mind, so really need to beat west brom and spuds Still feel gutted tho. Disappointed with Reina again, why is always high profile cock ups, so frustrating.
Yup, we knew this year was transitional. The last few performances while showing we still need to add quality, also showed that we have a lot of promise. If we keep this up at least BR will have clear targets to chase in the summer.
We're not far off being a top 4 team again. Need a quality winger who can beat his man with pace, but I hope we don't sell Downing, unless of course we get an offer of over 10mill (lol!). He's not amazing, but he's a solid backup who will keep the ball and stretch the play, even if he rarely goes past his man. Not sure where Coutinho fits in, unless we move more to a 2-3-1 forward setup. But I guess he's an option through the middle instead of Gerrard or Henderson to unlock the tighter defenses. A keeper is a must. Someone who inspires, gives confidence and commands the area. Reina isn't that keeper anymore for me. CB is needed, especially if Coates is off. Winger, Keeper, CB. Lets go Werner and Henry, dig into your pockets. Lots of promise in this team to build on.

Our run in from here looks quite "kind" if there is such a thing. Should be looking to take 9-10 points from next 4 games with home 3 home games. Next has 3 away so probably 6 or 7 however the quality of opposition isn't all that great with the toughest team West Ham at Anfield. Then a few tricky games with Chelsea & Everton at home and Newcastle away, but a few wins there would give us good momentum going into next season. West Brom H Swansea H Wiga A Spurs H Saints A Villa A West Ham H Reading A Chelsea H Newcastle A Everton H Fulham A QPR H

Im not trying to piss on your parade with Rodgers but isnt 10 of those players that started was also on Kennys teamsheet last year, only Sturridge who Rodgers has signed has really worked out so far, Allen, Borini, and Sahin haven't quite been up to the standard, do you think these will come good or are his next transfers going to be the same where they haven't quite looked like players that should be Liverpool quality.
