"Dear Ken and Simon, it is with regret that I must submit this written transfer request. I have been a loyal servant of the club for nearly 40 years, but believe that the time has now come for me to move on to new pastures. My reasons are many and varied, but primarily I don't feel the club can match my ambition as a fan. I'd like to be kept informed of any approaches made by other clubs but particularly those with champions league aspirations. I do understand that in submitting this letter I waive my right to my 40 year loyalty bonus currently estimated at sod all. I would also like to thank the club for the tiny morsels of pleasure that it has given me during my tenure. Yours Sincerely The Fly.....if only it were possible!" Hope the original author doesn't mind me quoting this but summed up exactly how I feel
if only we fans could be that fickle but your club is bigger than its owners and you just have to wait for your era to arrive or in leeds case return. bates isnt a leeds fan but he will sell to anyone who makes him a silly offer so you have to hope that there is a rich leeds nut out there ready to launch your revival. although im a leicester fan (since 1962) and i enjoy the banter i do believe that a premiership with wigan swansea and blackburn in it and no leeds leicester or forest isnt complete. good luck guys and i hope it picks up for you
