    10 games played.

    Home record.....P5...W1...D2...L2...5 Pts.

    Away record.....P5...W1...D3...L1...6 Pts.

This so called wall of noise and flag waving intimidation of the awayside doesn't seem to be working.

Maybe because you cannot take the lid off a bottle and produce the intimidation that a team playing well can naturally bring to a came.

Unfortunately I havn't witnessed it for myself at Home Park this season.......but I am reminded of the canned laughter that we used to get with american comedy TV programmes....maybe I'm wrong....what do you think Gat/sensible you've been recently.....it just seems to me that it cannot replace a winning team bringing a natural roar of approval and the notching up of pressure. I can remember that happening at Millwall's old den in the sixties......59 consecutive home games unbeaten, you could feel the awayside crumbling under the pressure of the crowd.......the 60th game was against a crappy team with only two away points all season at that stage....you must know who they were ?

There is no substitute for winning plym as you well know. The numbers involved on the Argyle Cop are not really enough to intimidate anyone. This section of the crowd do make a noise and without them and a winning team then there would be long periods of silence which wouldn't do any good either.

The problem people have with this Choir is that it appears to have been encouraged in one section of the ground and the people who have sat there for a long while, or stood in the old days, do not particularly want chanting/singing/drum beating/flag waving around them. It's as if they are forced to join in or move. From my perspective, which is somebody who has never stood or sat in that part of the ground, is that it does no harm and seems to suit those who have been indoctrinated into it. But, it is neither an incentive for the players or a distraction. It would be hard pressed to intimidate. Perhaps canned laughter is a reasonable comparison because it does seem forced at times. I'm therefore a neutral and am not bothered if it stays or goes. If it encourages a few youngsters to attend and feel part of the club then where is the harm. It has a very long way to go to emmulate Anfield.

Anfield has hardly been a fortress in the last few years so probably best we don´t emmulate it.
