Nass, I'm not criticising the "community" or individuals, but I do feel that , if you take away 'tipping' and the odd protracted debate originated about a particular horse or race, then the forum doesn't have a lot left.
I also believe that the site has become 'cliquish,' and these are the reasons why there are only a small number of members who actively participate on an ongoing basis.
I'd be interested to know what others think.
Interesting how people see things differently, I see this site far less 'cliquey' than the old 606 site.
The Daily Thread is an interesting one, on the beeb there would be 200 posts a day many about what people were having for lunch and a host of other rubbish, like Ron it felt like that was the place for an elite group of individuals who weren't looking for the views of others, so I also steered well clear of it.
On this site the Daily Thread barely gets 20 posts but this may be because there's a greater range of other threads where people can and do post their views - the old beeb board would see little activity outside of the Daily Thread, it's actually the reverse here.
I much prefer the 'feel' about this place...
