FORUM RULES - Racist comments will not be tolerated

Anybody who makes a comment that is to all intensive purposes made about race and considered derogatory by the moderators will be banned from this board.

I am for people giving opinions, and allow a lot of comments to slide, but I will not accept racist comments.

Attempted comedy does not save you from racism. You may think it does, but not on public forums in 2012. With the current laws, sensitivities, and my personal aversion to racism, I will enforce this without tolerance.

Anybody who reads a post that that deem is offensive, please send the mods a PM and the post, and poster will be dealt with.

Immediate Ban
Racist comments implied or stated. (zero tolerance)

One Warning
No cutting and pasting the same post repeatedly on different threads.
No personal threats that could be considered as realistic or cause reasonable concern.
Repeated WUMs that are blatant attempts to disrupt multiple threads.

Advice to Posters
Swearing is allowed, but please spell these words correctly so the filter will remove it for those who dont want to see it.
If you see a clear WUM thread try to ignore it and a mod will deal with it.
Any issues with anything please PM a mod and they will deal with the matter.


In light with what has happened over the last couple of months regarding court cases, posters are required to think twice before posting.

If you have received a warning, but then continue to argue the fact on the forum, you will be banned.

 

Well said Siam ,altho i hate to see anyone banned as see it as childish(take note jack board) this message must fall on the ears of KJ and Norwayjerk as their messages to the Cardiff board recently have been OTT.


Lets hope they behave in future as this is just a football forum and ment to be for fun and banter not racist comments about persons which have nothing to do with them .

 

The rules regarding racist posts are in place for any posters on this board. I hope we do not have to worry about enforcing any bans.

Siam - no problem with that mate, but what does "all Cardiff Boards" actually mean? I thought this was not606.

 

It is Sparkey. I would support the above regardless of other boards, but recent actions have highlighted the issue. This includes the current legal climate as well as the issues that surround our club. So no, this is not being requested of us, but as an idea we agreed to support. In reality these "rules" have always been there, but we wished them to be posted for all to see.

At times people sail close to the wind with comments, but there isn't much wriggle room when it comes to racist posts and there should no be any given.

 

Who's been yanking your chain? My comment yesterday was not racist unless you think that the comedy series Little Britain is racist as well.

Bit rich the Moron Hughs posting about OTT comments when he has repeatedly crossed this very line - and worse. When I complained about his Dyer comments I was told in no uncertain terms that I was being "too PC"

Btw Siam I agree with your stance for what it's worth.

As stated in the thread regarding racist posts, it is not an excuse to use comedy to make a racially offensive comment on this forum. I appreciate you may have felt you were being light hearted, but a poster who has French heritage did not find the comment amusing. Please note many people read the board who do not post. I want to let people digest this before looking at banning posters.

You are welcome to continuing posting but please be careful in future posts.

Any poster whose comments are RACIST as of the date of the OP will be banned. It is a pretty easy to follow statement.

In light of some of the comments made about our owners (not necessarily on this board) this is very relevant to CCFC at present. I just hope the mods on some of the more radical boards tale note and act accordingly.

 

its easier to have a complete ban on racism as its easier for mods and posters know where they stand....this thread will be incorporated into a main thread about rules for posting on the cardiff fboard when siam and i get round to diong one

i told you KJ at the time that were being too PC about the JH comment a few months back, however the tables have turned and members on this board were offended at some of the stuff on here. you have no leg to stand on as you were hounding him for that comment, all we're doing is stating that as part of written rules on a new thread racism aint on.

The bottom line is there isn't anything funny about racism and trying to gain the moral high ground on the subject is, quite frankly, pathetic.

This is the stance that Swamp and Siam have taken on the subject and I for one support it 100%. Anyone who disagrees or tries to argue their case can, in my humble opinion...**** off somewhere else.

I am frankly amazed that this would become a debated thread. Racism is not wanted on this board. The inability for some posters to understand the obvious, and their attitude of trying to read something into nothing, or treat it as some little banter game is incredible.

The reason we have posted this thread is because the last week has seen racist remarks become a major issue. Yet some people seem to think making a move towards ensuring this never becomes a major issue here is a bad thing. Sorry, but some posts on this board were racist remarks and they were complained about and that is the end of.

I remind people who seem to have a problem with clamping down on racist remarks that they are not required to post here, and really if that is your attitude, you are not wanted here.

This not a debatable issue.
