This is probably a bit early for this post but 'Fortress Loftus Road' will be a key feature of PL survival and pushing on this season. We've shown ourselves what we, the fans, can do at the Wigan home semi-final and at Wembley. Also in recent history think about Cisse scoring against Stoke and the comeback against Liverpool. Need I mention Chelsea? All games with incredible energy from the fans as well as the team. Whatever happens next season, we must re-create that energy to make Loftus Road a very difficult place to come for away teams. Really excited to see what will happen over the summer with the signings. I anticipate the lads will give us lots to cheer about from August as the season starts!
I think it's a two way relationship. If the team give it a proper crack next season then fan backing will be a given. If they dish out ****e they'll make it hard for us to cheer. But I think things will be better this time.
Even if we do (seems unlikely), we simply have to pick ourselves up and keep going. A good win first home game would be great but we can't say 'essential' because it is just not that sort of league. A cup run too please! (At last?!!)
The atmosphere will depend on the players, its will be great if everyone on their pitch gives their all. It will be crap if its another Hughes like mercenary squad full of players who don't give a ****. Our fans aren't mugs.
