    Forte scored a first half hat-trick today for Notts County, I think he might of found his level in League One.

    Can anyone see him pulling on a Saints shirt again? I for one can't, I'm grateful for his goals last season but think time he moved on :)

    He was always an average league 1 player, never should have been signed.

    He was needed at the time but not anymore. He has a very good attitude and it's nice to see he's doing well at Notts County.

    His second career hat trick...first came back in 2008, also while on loan at Notts County. One of these days they ought to sign him up permanently; every time he goes there, he scores in bunches.

    2 goals v MKD when we were 2-0 down and he scored a brace to make it 2-2 then Lee Barnard scored the third in a very important game that ultimately helped us achieve promotion.

    well southampton finished 5 points ahead of huddersfield and the fact that his goals were both 4 yard tap-ins and not 2 pieces of good play so any player would suggest that he isn't the reason southampton got promoted.

    He isn't the sole reason but he was an important player in the run in.

    He really wasn't that important, but I'll always remember him for the mkd's brace. Shut the door on the way out Jon.

    the brace was nice and im happy that it didnt make the transfer a total flop. But we would have got promoted without him but he made it easier so my nerves thank him for that!

    I think that win against MK Dons was important psychologically...so I don't think it's over-dramatic to say that Forte got us promoted.
