Newcastle have made it known goalkeeper Fraser Forster WILL return to the Toon after his loan deal at Parkhead - good news imo

also linked with Celtics Honduran left-back Emilio Izaguirre and West Broms Peter Odemwingie with Wolves Kevin Doyle supposedly our number one target
seems we are also front runners for connor wickham

I'd definitely take Doyle, can't see the need for Izaguirre and Odemwingie is knocking on. Forster is an average keeper so not too arsed if he stays or goes.

Emilio Izaguirre? Are they thinking of letting Jose go?

Good news. I hope Forster becomes a future number 1 for US and not Celtic, but it's hard because Krul is a very good young 'keeper aswell, so it'll be interesting to see what happens this summer.

Wouldn't mind Doyle although he isn't the most exciting player and isn't prolific, but a very hard-worker and can play the lone front man role very effectively. Izaguirre as cover would be excellent but I doubt he'll come just to warm the bench, but he's definitely miles better than Perch, but miles inferior to Enrique. Odemwingie is a very decent striker but they'll be better available in the summer and by that time he'll be 30 so he's not exactly getting any younger is he?

Harper still has a few years at the top of his game but it's great to have two potentially good keepers following on and the competition can only make them better in the long run.

At present; I'd have Harper as No. 1 and then Forster as No. 2 with Krul on a season long loan so we can evaluate who is the future No. 1 and 2.

Actually wouldn't be a bad idea to send Timmy to Celtic on season long loan next year, then we could have a proper comparison...

i was thinking the same thing actually. i reckon celtic would be only too happy to take on tim next year and then we can have a look at forster. a full season as a number 1 would do tim the power of good.

I get the feeling that frazer ain't that keen to be number 2 either though haing watched harps squander his best years, something tells me he wants away as he's never really nailed his colours to the mast over the last few years and has always seemed to be making noises as if he wants to be a No. and doesn't care if its here or anywhere else.

Just thought, Forster will have been a first choice keeper for two seasons by the time we get him back, would be awkward for him going to the bench I'd imagine. As for the allegiance thing, he went to RGS so is probably a posh twat with little to no connection to the area (I also went there, almost everyone there is a rich ****).

I hope not, yes he's doing well for Celtic, but the Scottish Premier and English Premier are at 2 very different levels...

    Doyle sucks as well.

Why oh why can't we just have a prolific goalscorer... We even have 30 million to spend.

Am I missing something here in regards to Kevin Doyle? 3 goals in 20 appearances. Even Carton Cole has scored more than him.
