Pardew has been quoted as saying he wants to have Krul Forster and Harper for pre season before he decides on his keepers

    Pardew on hunt for Keeper?

Doubt it. Harper N.1, Krul N.2 and N.3 can be Soderberg or Alnwick.

Strange one. Harper and Krul are both capable number ones, and Forster probably is as well. It all depends on what the younger ones want, is either one of them prepared to go out on loan or sit on our bench for a season? I'd like to keep all three. If Krul wants first team football next season he should be number one in my opinion, there's nothing between him and Harper and I'd rather risk losing the older man (although in all reality Harper wouldn't leave anyway). I'd have Krul first choice, Harper on the bench and hopefully Forster loaned out to Celtic again, or maybe a Premier League club (he'd easily get into the Arsenal side ;)).

We're lucky to have two good keepers waiting in the wings. Harpers playing days are coming to an end and we'd be mad to let either of them go. I just hope we can manage to keep both of them happy and hold onto them for the long term.

Forster should be our number 1 next season. If not, loan him out to another prem club a bit like Joe Hart and then have him number 1 for the season after.

Cant guarantee a prem club will take him though, he's never played at a higher level than the SPL.

I think any club worth their salt will know about the playing strength of other clubs and will be aware of our two class young keepers.

not seen enough of him at celtic to have a very informed opinion on how forster is doing over there, but why would we wanna sell him? he's young, he's playing a lot of games for a huge fish in a tiny pond and will only get better. even we wont be daft enough to punt him on for a quick buck and take the risk of replacing him with someone new would we?

Forster's been reported as saying he wont be sitting on the bench next season. It's either top spot here or he's leaving by all accounts.

Krul's more Prem league proven, so I'd be more inclined to go with him than Forster. I'd still want Forster though!
It's a tough one, glad I'm not Pards!

Too early to decide anything yet, even between now and summer anything could happen. Celtic might put in a ridiculous offer for Forster, Harper could get a horrible injury (touch wood for both) etc and we cant decide until then IMO.

Have watched a couple of reserve games, he looks good but obviously you cant really tell until they go on loan to at least L1.

Bad attitude for me. His performances have been solid from what I've heard, but not good enough to justify him issuing ultimatums.

He's been accountable for a couple of goals in Old Firm games, which is a bad sign for me because they're the games where you'd really judge his quality. The Celtic fans seem reasonably happy with him though: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/37143-Goalkeeper-Next-Season

Although on another thread someone said he goes down like a pensioner with arthritic knees and that he should command his area better.

    Look hither
The way I put it made it seem a lot harsher, sorry ha, but a similar kind of thing. Wants guaranteed first team football, which is understandable.
But in all honesty I can still see Harps as no. 1 next season.

After some consideration I think I'd prefer Krul.

I like Forster but he needs to be patient. I don't think Harps will be an automatic choice next season but he's got to compete with Krul too. He'll get his chance before too long, he's just got to wait a little longer.

I was coming around to Forster but some of the Celtic fans comments and his attitude (said something like he was surprised not get more international recognition, plus that one ^ wanting first team football nest season). Also he's been at two top teams for their divisions in Norwich and Celtic, both runaway winners so I'd argue he hasnt really been tested and when he was (relatively) against Rangers he has been liable for a couple of goals.

If he's got a stroppy attitude it isn't going to be good for the changing room atmosphere.
