Yann M’Vila is one of the hardest working players in the Premier League this season. The Frenchman is eighth on the list of the players who have covered the most distance so far this campaign, having clocked up nearly 167 miles. The central midfielder, on a season-long loan from Rubin Kazan, has been one ofSunderland’s most impressive performers this season and is a key part of their battle for survival. Bournemouth’s Andrew Surman tops the list - which was compiled by the EA Sports Player Performance Index - with 188 miles, followed by Everton’s Gareth Barry (184 miles) and West Brom’s Craig Dawson (173 miles). M’Vila is the only Sunderland player in the top ten, and has played in every league game this season apart from the opening day loss to Leicester. Remarkably, he has also only been booked once in that time. 1) Andrew Surman, Bournemouth - 303.85km (188.80m) 2) Gareth Barry, Everton - 297.64km (184.94m) 3) Craig Dawson, West Bromwich Albion - 278.57km (173.09m) 4) Etienne Capoue, Watford - 278.43km (173.00m) 5) Darren Fletcher, West Bromwich Albion - 271.46km (168.67m) 6) Mark Noble, West Ham United - 271.31km (168.58m) 7) Matt Ritchie, Bournemouth - 268.71km (166.96m) 8) Yann M’Vila, Sunderland - 268.59km (166.89m) 9) Dan Gosling, Bournemouth - 267.91km (166.47m) 10) Ross Barkley, Everton - 267.31km (166.09m)
The thing that struck me in that list was Bournemouth (3) WBA (2) and Everton (2) players featured. Nobody from the rich list clubs features so maybe their money is more reflected in their quality players who do not have to cover other average quality players.
Suprised no leicester players. Mind that list is like reading possible contenders to play forrest gump.
Interesting one about having his contract terminated, I'd imagine there'll be a queue as long as the M6 to get his signature if that's the case.
Dunno, they'll be paying his wages from June when he essentially returns to the club, probably about £100k a week out there. Might make sense to tear up the contract.
He's on high wages over there like, being paying a percentage for us. I don't see why they'd cancel his contract. If we stay up the preset transfer would simply just go head. If we go down there no such pre agreement so bidding war from the many teams interested. They've forked out enough, Sure they're looking to get some money back when it's there for the taking.
There isn't one. He's talking about he'd like to discuss the move if you stay up. He can't officially transfer until July 1st anyhow, that's why I was saying January was important for you lot, essentially having exclusivity to any deal. Now it's a free for all. Don't forget if he moves for money the Russian club could have a clause saying he's owed 50% of the fee or something daft, anything could be in there. If he's got his lawyer on it, I'd imagine there's a decent chance of him getting it terminated.
Yes there is, it's an overseas loan. There's always a pregreed deal, it's the rules. There is a deal between Kazan and Sunderland 100%. Personal terms are different, separate and up for us to strike a deal with the player. But that's the same for any transfer.
Januzaj has just turned 21. His loan to Dortmund will have been under a completely different set of rules because of his age. Overseas youth loans don't have to contain a future fee as clubs have legal rights that such a transfer would contravene. Senior overseas loans have to contain a future fee. The loophole of course (which we faced with Alonso) is clubs over value their player and set the future fee high so there's no chance of the transfer going ahead.
New one to me that pal. Even if that is the case, the 'preset transfer' wouldn't simply just go ahead, it's not a formality, it's an option for the player.
Absolutely. I just didn't think we were talking personal terms. That's a different matter completely. We'd probably have to come up with around 80kpw That much will certainly be free on July 1st. Would Short sanction it? Probably not. He's a kernt.
Just to digress. That's another reason the Alvarez transfer stinks. The personal terms issue. Legally Alvarez could not pre-agree a contract with us that far ahead. He wasn't even in his final year of contract so not even able to pre agree any deal going into the last 6 month of the season let alone a full season ahead. How Inter can say the transfer should have gone ahead despite the lack of legal personal terms is beyond me. If inter win it would change transfers to Bosman proportions.
He's a kernt (I assume that's how you lot say **** ) for not buying him in January, regardless of if you go down or not, you're flipping £10m on the lad no bother. I can only assume the lad didn't want to do the deal with a relegation release clause (with a fee) in his contract, because no billionaire should be that stupid. Give him £80k if he wants it by the way, he's by far and away your best player as the infographic you posted shows, best employees usually earn the most.
