I wonder if Ocon and Vettel fighting on this opening laps of their hard tyre might hurt them really late on if the tyres don’t extend. I wonder if soft tyres in these cooler conditions might be an option for Lewis and Carlos to massively undercut them late on?

When you see what we’ve just enjoyed for the last 20 minutes, you realise what a massive loss it is not having Alonso in a top team. Love him, hate him, whatever - he is a PROPER F1 racer. How have we never had Lewis v Fernando properly since 2007? Robbery that is.
