    Hi,

Which former Manchester United player would you like to see back in our current squad?

I'd love to see Duncan Edwards in this team, obviously Ronaldo will get a mention and maybe Tevez.

    What do you guys think?

Keane. Or scholes now, can't get used to thinking he won't be playing.

Cantona. Inspired those around him and was capable of winning a match almost on his own (see 95-96) and often did.

Bobby Charlton. His passing and shooting ability would sort out our midfield problems in a second <ok>

If i was a united fan ronaldo or keane.

the thing about duncan is firstly i highly doubt you've ever seen him play so your just judging by what you've heard.
No doubt he was a good player or his death wouldnt have been so, umm, tragic so to speak. but no doubt because he did die he's going to be overrated, i dont mean that in a bad way but the fact that he died means people will feel sorry and sad each time they think of him, and saying he would have been the best is just there way of trying to praise his death or something along those lines.

truth is no one knows how he would have turned out, and i highly doubt alot if any of you will have ever seen him play. but i guess thats the reason you'd want him in the team to see how good he is?

im not disrespecting him or nothing just putting my opinion out there.

but personally if i was a united fan id take ronaldo or keane, firsly id take ronaldo cause hes a machine and is one of the best players to have played for united he can carry a team its just what hes like, hes consistent has so many goals in him, and can pull a team to victory. or id pick keane cause thats what you need right now a strong midfield man to call the shots. or a young scholes even.

I dont get why anyone would pick tevez, not only is ronaldo a better goalscorer theres van nistelroy cantona and so many others that were better. not to mention tevez is alot like rooney, albeit in my opinion he is better, rooney is still a great player, so why get someone who plays basically the same postition when hes only slightly better.

ronaldo and rooney pathernship was one of unites best pathernship.

    but again just my opinion

Bobby Charlton says Edwards was the only player to ever make him feel inferior and he has played with and against some of Footballs all time greats. My grandad also told me that DE was as good as they say, imperious was his description and he seen the babes play many times.

    Ralph Milne.

    Poetry in motion himself.

With a young Roy Keane and an Eric Cantona in this squad we'd be unbeatable.

Wasnt bobby charlton great freinds with duncan edwards though? so he would say that so it doesnt kind of tarnish his memory in a way. im not saying he was bad i just think that firstly he wasnt uniteds best player in their history as i believe players of the present have advantages over the ones from the past with technology helping with injuries and training etc. and that although he must have been a great player im just not sure if he'd have gone to be one of the best of all time.

    just my opinion mind.

I understand what your saying but my Grandad wasnt pals with either of them though and he held Edwards in very high regard and he was a Liverpool supporter!

Of course players today have much better conditioning and training but would they have reached the level of their predecessors without it?An impossible question to answer, IMO its an unfair comparison.

Yes agreed, but your grandad was probabaly a england supporter and wasnt duncan edwards along with most of the busby babes the future of england? We'll never know how he would have turned out which is a bit sad considering his undoubted talent. im just saying one side of me wouldnt pick him for your team now cause you cant be sure how good he would have been and another side would love to watch him play just to see what he turns out to be.
