Many supporters have never forgiven the Irishman for his brief loan spell with the Canaries in 2009 though, during which time he played against Town and talked about it being an ‘absolute pleasure’ to play for the Norfolk club http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...lee_apologises_to_ipswich_town_fans_1_2718310
Saw that earlier. I had no idea he'd joined them in some kind of coaching role. He was one of the few of our endless crop of loanees who at least showed a bit of pride when he pulled on the yellow shirt - hence the ITFC disgruntlement!
bit pathetic really - he's not done anything bad. he didn't even join us directly from ipswich. of course he's going to say what he did at the time - if he'd come out and given us stick he wouldn't have been playing!! i thought alan lee did ok for us in the circumstances but to be honest, he was way past his best back in 2008-09 so i dread to think what he's like now! i can't believe they've given him a playing contract
He did alright for us in a year best forgotten - when was it now ? Shouldn't it be the other way round though with Binners apologising to Alan Lee for the desperate state the club has gotten into since he left ?
Well, compared to some of the complete and utter crap brought in on short term loans by Roeder and Gunn he was a revelation. He did actually try and battle for us while in the shirt (a weeny bit Holt-esque, anybody?) Few loan players commit themselves like that, so I wish him well. Sibierski, on the other hand, cab go and f...
yep. in fact, i'd have happily kept him on for the league one campaign. obviously i'm glad we didn't bother...!
This was on TWTD at 6 o clock this morning, and reproduced by the Pinkun some six hours later, another case of the TWTD lads being way ahead of the Budgie press.
Supers, it's well known by us who frequent TWTD that it's posts seem to be monitored by the local press and reproduced as their own story. A few red herrings have been sold along the way too!
right. but don't most media outlets report things at different times? and why does it matter? its probably a slow news day so they've tried to fill a bit of space with a non-story. it barely ticks enough boxes to be deemed 'interesting' or 'newsworthy'.
i'd love to know why he thinks its funny though. perhaps wellyblue is miranda. she's not funny either...
