Alan Pardew, is that you? If so, JOG ON! :emoticon-0172-mooni

Think Sparky will line up in a rigid, well drilled 4-4-2 with one of the strikers in a support role (4-4-1-1 if you like).

has to be 442 for newcastle, as i'm not too sure whether we have 5 midfielders to pick from!!

I wouldn't worry about the formation but rather would about putting a team out capable of competing. the positive may be the fact everyone who plays will be giving their all to impress the new boss!

Agreed. Won't be easy for MH with the squad so depleted imo. He'll need to set us up as hard to beat and hope the players battle for their lives to impress the new guy!!

We'll get done through the midfield if we play 4-4-2!!

Couldn't agree more Col, couldn't agree more.

The trouble is that with our injuries and missing players we may have to play a formation that best fits the players available.

If he's sensible he should play 4-4-2 and keep it simple.

Personally I think we can play 4-3-1-2 as we need a provider in the middle who can both go forward and back, and we need more width with the wingers running the lengths but keeping the back stronger.

I think it will be a 4-1-2-1-2. Derry Holding mid and Buz attacking.

Can't see how you can play with wingers in that formation.
