I now think more than ever that when leeds play big matches in the championship we need to do a 4-4-2 formation ESPECIALLY after last season , but feel when leeds play other good teams like swansea bielsa should hold back team news and formation until 1 hour before kick off and change it possibly to 4-4-2 and put bamford and eddie up front as 2 strikers as we are finding that other teams are up there for a reason , same as leeds and are ready for our usual formation and play , dont get me wrong i like the attacking play we do as thats how i would set leeds up to play but some thought needs to be put into deceiving the opposition in some big matches .
whats your thoughts guys and gals ?

Bielsa never has and i suspect never will play 4-4-2.

You could line up 0-0-10 and still be in trouble if not one of them can score.

Personally, I'm just happy being entertained. Hasn't happened consistently for over a decade. Gotta take it when it's there. Might be another decade......if we're lucky.

So put eddie upfront with bamford, who do you drop in midfield?
What is a big match? Surely they all count for 3 points for a win.
We are playing some of the best football for a very long time,
Maybe we should trust Mr Bielsa.

I agree with you some matches need to bring about some form of change cos of certain type of players other teams have.

One of Bielsa's flaws, imo, is continually playing a winning team, not that it's a bad thing, but like you said, it gives other teams opportunities to adjust to our playing style.

I've said since last season that Bielsa needs to recognise changing certain players against certain teams.

Bamford and Nikita upfront together, not sure that'll be a good combination. Nikita has more pace and speed than Bamford, Bamford is a nearly striker despite scoring 4 goals, but those goals were crumbs and tap ins.

Nikita upfront on his own for me, only question is, can he maintain his speed throughout the match.

Harrison is another flaw imo. He tries to dribble around every player on park, including himself instead of getting the crosses in early. We had the same problem with Sako. Harrison brings our attacks to an abrupt halt most of time every time he loses the ball trying to dribble around defenders............he needs to learn to get the crosses in early.

Harrison needs to stop being a show pony, or we'll have the same continual problems down the left, and right when he swaps.

mostly true , but some matches Harrison can be vital and played very good , i think there is more to come from harrison yet , he is learning slowly , i know what you mean though when he tries to take on the whole defence and messes up

True but i am very surprised when he did the spying as a one up man ship on derby and the rest of the championship why if he did that why he does not try surprising teams on vital matches by announcing the team 1 hour before kick off and change the formation to 4-4-2 this would knock teams out of their stride just before kick off as we saw with swansea they were ready for how we play and did a smash and grab at the end

this is a big topic as so many leeds utd fans text in to radio leeds after the swansea match saying it would have been better to do a 4-4-2 for swansea match

I can’t remember who was subbed off so not sure if we switched formation or just changed personnel and played Eddie in from wide.

Also it would surprise good teams we are playing against and give us the edge ! We could do this on important games as teams like swansea are setting themselves up to face our predictable formation , I do like how bielsa has this attacking formation as I'm also into attacking formation BUT not every match

Big matches are teams like Swansea who are going to be there abouts at end of season and we just handed 3 points to a team that is going to be going for 1 of those 2 automatic promotion places , we now need to go to Swansea and beat them there which is going to be a tall order
