Hi Hull fans - thought I would pop over.
You lot are doing very well of late - a fine run of form, which keeps the pressure on for us now we have found ourselves in our own ‘purple patch’!!!
The thing is, you seem to be free-scoring for fun, whereas we are dragging out the 1-goal wins.
I wonder if a repeat of our playoff final is on the cards? I don’t think Derby are all that brilliant to be honest - and nobody in the current top 6 are on the same form as our 2 teams are.
The press also keep talking about mid-table Aston Villa, but they are also nothing special - they were once a big club and the press are trying to keep it going (ok I don’t like them much - team full of ex-Bristol City players - one of whom in particular left us to go to a ‘bigger club with ambition’ so forgive the little dig at them!)
Anyway, I must admit that I fear you guys at the moment - you are on fire and ready to pounce if we drop points (no Tiger pun intended!)

Welcome Bristol. I’ll never forget how magnificent your fans were at Wembley in ‘08. Great respect in a great match with a PL first for both clubs at stake that year.

With regards to this year - I’m just happy our team seem on track to avoid relegation. Which in October/November seemed a genuine probability. Anything beyond that is a complete bonus.

Our team quite surprisingly have gone from what looked like a team of no hopers to genuine contenders. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything quite like it.

It’ll be interesting for sure. But like many City fans (Some boycott and some don’t) the pressing issue is getting new owners ASAP. I think promotion would only prolong their stay. Which would be more damaging long term as they inflict more ridiculous ideas on the club.

That playoff final was an absolutely brilliant day - until Windass popped up........
I like your manager - very good at this level.
We have developed a very defensive style of play this season - I think we are the second-strongest defence in the league after Middlesbrough) - completely different from last year (remember the 5-5 draw at Ashton Gate?)
I must admit I didn’t know you had ownership issues - the ones at Bolton are well documented and I feel sorry for their fans (although I still want us to beat them tonight of course!) - surely if your owner gets you into the playoffs that’s a good thing, isn’t it?
We have something similar going on with our manager - a (significant) minority of our fans want him sacked - despite our current position. Lee Johnson was controversial as a player because he worked for his dad, and that ‘mistrust’ has been carried over into his tenure as manager.
He does seem to oversee ‘boom and bust’ trends with us - we are on a boom at the moment but fear a bust is just around the corner!

I have to say the re-run was on the other night and I still watched nervously expecting you to equalise during the second half <laugh><laugh>

It's surprising how many don't know the ownership issues. I was reading on the Blackburn board that someone said we should be bringing more than even 2000 fans for the size of our city with our run. The owners have antagonised the support (no concessions etc) and even last time we got promoted didn't put together a full squad of players so we were relegation favourites from the start. They pocket the parachute payments, sell our best players and pocket that money, and still leave us with a threadbare squad (not having an experienced fit centre back as sub probably cost us the win at Aston Villa last game).

Yeh we have hit a bit of form and scoring a few along the way but that’s all it is this stage. Biggest problem we have is a paper thin squad and owners who don’t want to spend any real Wonga mate. Your lot are just ahead of us in my book but your right,we are no longer a side people laugh at anymore..watch this space.

    I hope so.

And we see you crying on Wembley Way again :emoticon-0172-mooni

Tears of joy after your victory. If we get promoted we’re stuck with our monkey felching cumbubble of an owner for at least another 3 years.

The fact the OP wasn't aware of our ownership issues speaks volumes really . And is why protests should have been ramped up heavily a long long time ago . But that's for another thread I guess .

I rarely meet football fans from other cities who aren’t now aware of the ****wittery that’s gone on here over recent years.

Though I am still surprised at how many are unaware that we have no concessions.

Yet speak to proper fans of LUFC ( the ones from Leeds) and they will tell you we are a bunch of ungrateful bastards.

I can't recall interacting with any Bristol fans on May 24 2008. It's no place for losers, and it seems to have knackered Bristol up for a few years afterwards.

I remember losing at Ashton gate in March 2008 against a solid but workmanlike Bristol team. The key for us that season was momentum, which started at Stoke om NYD for me....they were top but hanging on home for a draw against us, their fans screaming for the final whistle. We just got better and better after new year, and the belief grew in the entire city.

We lost at PNE 3-0 then Soton 4-0 in Dec 2007, so PB had some real repair work to do

I always want my club playing at the highest level.

The owners can't sell it whatever division we're in.

Ask the fans of Bpool and CAFC if it's any easier to find a buyer when you're in the lower leagues.
